I don't mind the cold; you can always bundle up. I waited for ten minutes while it was snowing and somewhere in the 20s, but it didn't bother me because I had a coat and a mask. Heat and humidity, on the other hand, have virtually no solutions and are absolutely miserable.

Fans, going under shade and entering pools of water are solutions for heat.

And I took pictures of the flooded basement and gushing pipe, but my phone is so old and crochety that it won't sync with my computers. Also, the free Yahoo email app I have won't let me send or recieve emails over wifi, so I have to email the pics to myself over the 3G network that has terrible reception at my house and it's taking forever to send a pic.

So I can't even email my professors proof that I'm not just playing hooky so they don't drop me to give my spot to someone on the waitlist

Calm down. Take a deep breath. And take one thing at a time.

Either that or: :run::run::run::run::run::run::run:

Right. Prioritize. Deal with the most important, pressing issue. And don't dwell on anything else.

yeah that's why i'm at the computer, waiting for my email with the pictures to come in so i contact my professors. That just came through though and I'm making arrangements with them. Then I have to go downstairs and sort out the mess, change clothes and head up to school

Isn't that the population of England and Wales?

I say let's not double it.

(I do know what the number refers to, btw.)

My neighbors in my building couldn't have cared less about what was going on. The neighbors from other buildings were all trying to help out by finding the pipe valves and gas shut offs, but the ones in my building didn't do anything. They even saw their stuff get flood and they didn't seem to care.

Stupid college kids. Bunch of morons

If he lives in the US, why is he using Celsius?
There *is* a possibility that some Americans might be educated, you know. Don't treat the poor things so stereotypically.

It's very cold and the heater just broke. It made a loud noise and shut down.

Get bundled up, aimee. I'm on ther other end of the heat spectrum, I have almost nothing left to take off.

Rant: extreme heat and hailstorms. So I have to keep all windows closed because of the storm, and also try not to suffocate. :cringe:

Thanks to this heat, I got out of bed at nearly 2 in the afternoon, and I still feel all sticky, azza.
