Random Rants XLIV: I Can't Find The Answer

I'm very tired of stupid internet fads. Two in particular come to mind that have really been ticking me off lately.

First is zombies. Zombies are a huge part of "internet culture". All sorts of zombie stuff on the net. This is where the crap originated, and now it's spewing all over the place, even now polluting the offline world as well.

Ridiculous. The British government has actually made a plan in case of a zombie attack. Stop it with this crap. Zombies are so stupid. Even in Call of Duty they aren't that fun or cool.

Rant two:

Enough with people saying "'Merica". You know, saying America but dropping the first A. This came up completely out of nowhere. I don't know where this originated, but it couldn't have been going on for more than six months tops. Just a totally random internet fad. And certainly a stupid one. I live in an incredibly redneck town that has the type of '"mericans" they're talking about, but indeed the only people that ACTUALLY drop the first A in America are not the rednecks themselves, but internet posters that want to make fun of them. Think those pictures are funny? They're not. Quit wasting your time and get a job (but don't get a job as a comedian, because your jokes are terrible at best).

Agreed Plutonian. I've never watched MLP so I can't say about that, but Psy's song didn't seem that great to me.

The "Kony" video was completely stupid (the whole thing was a scam), and I'm tired of people on the net constantly talking about "hipsters".

I'm not exactly a fan of them or whatever, but I've seen so much hate for these people. Sure they make "alternative" lifestyle choices, but what have they ever done to you. Has a hipster ever beat you up? Has a hipster killed your family member? Has a hipster blackmailed you?

Or are you just bashing them on the net because you have absolutely nothing better to do with your lives?

It's not a bad song, it just doesn't deserve all that attention. Certainly not to be played several times in one night at a party. And at another. And another. Ugh.

Double Rant for the hell of it:

I've got way too much on my mind, and its destroying my evening. I wish there was a way, besides sleeping or drinking, to just kind of forget everything and enjoy myself. But no, instead, I sit, dwell, overthink, and stress/depress myself out.

Why do I do this? Nothing ever good comes from it. Yet I continue to do it, and it destroys me. Not enough sad smileys in the world to express my feelings right now.

Long story made short: One of my online friends invited me to their private GMod server I didnt know they had, so I accepted the invitation. There were only 3 people including me and the friend/admin on there and one of their friends

15 minutes later:
Me: Sorry i didn't mean to crash the server

Surprisingly they were pretty cool about it.
