Random Rants XVII: Rage Against the Machine

Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in.

(Just as I thought that I had prepared for every night out in the first couple of weeks of term, I find out that there's more, and therefore more organising to do)

I don't know how you are missing it...

She is a Sgt. in a non-combat role. Its not any different than your armed forces.

If you are thinking of US Marines like Royal Marines, keep in mind there are 200,000 of us, only about 7500 of them. We have alot of POG jobs that women can do.

I definitely just waited till now to start my homework, and I never procrastinate. No idea why I decided to waste more time by going onto Civ Fanatics to post such a crappy post. And now I'm probably gonna read the threads in the OT for another 30 minutes. I have no willpower to complete the easiest most mindless homework and I have no idea why. :p

If you have an excuse to procrastinate, you will procrastinate.

Do you only have 1? Or 2 like me?

Rant: At work tonight, there was a group of 33 people, including 16 4-12 year old children. It wasn't particularly pleasant. I had to do scoop 32 scoops of ice-cream. And I feel immoral being part of the system that charges $85 for 3 litres of No-Frills vanilla ice-cream.

Peace! Land! Cheap Ice-cream for the masses!

On the exam: there's only one practice exam for English (or rather, this thing called "English Language") and doesn't count for anything. I did almost no prior revision as I had other assessment tasks due this week and last week, so my practice exam today turned out to be quite disastrous. Now, I have two weeks (it's the holidays) to study until the next practice exam (Maths).

Term 4 only lasts two weeks, most of the time doing last minute assessments and practice exams.

I'm actually not very happy about the end of school. I didn't have a particular good time (and for the first ten years or so mostly horrible experiences) but still I'm saddened by the thought. Maybe I regret not enjoying school enough, perhaps.

Term 4 was only a couple of weeks long for the yr 12s I think. I guess they can't be bothered changing the dates of school holidays to change that in any way.

Rant: The Maps thread keeps getting jacked by nationalists.

I just missed the departmental deadline for submitting degree petitions. I believe that means I won't be graduating this spring, even though I only need 12 more credit hours.
