Today the UK government published a green paper (basically a discussion) about the future of its defence. The UK has the third highest defence spending in the world, although thanks to the current situation that's likely to change a lot in a few months' time.

Anyway, one thing that struck me was that everyone is expressing outrage that we will not be able to fight a war with another great power without allies to back us up. I just want to remind anyone who heard that - the last time we did that, we were wearing red coats. Even the Great War was done as part of a coalition, so I don't see what people are getting so angry at.

16 and Pregnant has got to be the most idiotic idea for any of MTV's shows.

If any girl in my school was knocked up, then she'd be screwed, not a reality TV star. This practically encourages teenage pregnancy saying "HEY GUYS YOU CAN BE A RICH REALITY TV STAR IF YOU GET PREGNANT TOO!"

And then the kids will be shocked to find that they're teen moms because they wanted to be on "M"TV.

So It's 12:20, and I've made a lot of progress since getting home around three, working more or less nonstop with some breaks for Facebook and CFC. I figure I can get my homework done in about an hour, which isn't too bad. Then my computer overheats, and I lose absolutely everything.
