Still no snow up in New England.

I want my snow. Not an ice storm like the one that knocked my power out for a week, but something good enough for a canceling.

Come over to the Pacific Coast, and THEN you can complain about no snow.

I saw on the news a few days ago that the US government wants more enforcement against and more punishments for minors who sext eachother.

Damn prudes. ( :mischief: )

Yes, Damn prudes.:mischief: Was Illinois the ones who decided that it wasn't a big enough deal to punish people so badly for it? They're smart.

Today I went to the cricket. This requires a number of rants:
  • It was an absolute scorcher today. Cheap tickets = seats in the afternoon sun. It must've been at least 35 degrees, and I got to sit in the sun for a few hours.
  • The sun was luckily interrupted by clouds. Many dark clouds. This brought rain. Which, whilst being refreshing at first, caused the curtailment of the game. It was a wash-out.
  • The rain set in for the third time at about 7:20pm after 5 balls of the West Indies innings. We waited it out for 2 hours, hoping to get at least a reduced game. We were rewarded by a reduced game with a reasonably high target, that should've been quite good to watch. But as soon as the players took the field, after a 2 hour wait, it started pouring again. One ball later, and it was called off. 2 hours for 1 ball. That was met with Gayle's forward defence.
  • The full Australian innings (despite a short rain delay halfway through it was still a full innings), was dull and low-scoring, with the first six coming off the second last ball.

It's a shame. WI were in with a chance in that game.

35 degrees is scorching? Are you from Antarctica or something?

Do you use firefox?

Yeah. About that.

Microsoft are bastards! [pissed] Look what they did to my firefox!
It opens IE now! Bastards! When I set firefox to default, it didn't delete all its rivals!

Also, Google Chrome is broken and can't connect to internet, it just has a blank page. Screw IE!

EDIT - EVEN WORSE! I try to download Firefox again and the screen freezes, not this tab but the firefox site tabs stop! I can't even scroll around.

Emphasizing the theories of historians and anthropologists instead of studies of gene sequences by biologists for the explanation for the origin of a disease-causing pathogen bothers me deeply.

Still have a lot of Java to do ... and the teacher is beginning to bother me with regards to catching up with work.

Uggggh my iPod has packed up. I only got it like 6 months ago as a replacement (old one got washed ) and I plug into the laptop to charge it up (only 1 month since last use) and nothing!!!! Utterly broken it seems - ahh well warrenty is still valid...

My cricket team is going to miss out on finals because of 2 hours of poor catching, 1 innings of slow scoring, and two horrible batting collapses, which cost us 3 games and wrecked our percentage.

This would be much less frustrating if we weren't level on matches won with the team keeping us out, or if the team keeping us out weren't playing a pathetically weak team next week giving us no chance to overtake them.

Depressing conversation at work tonight. The punters are discussing friends who have died from substance abuse. Apparently theres a guy, who I know of, who has been given the last rights four times. He looks about 35 but I'm sure hes closer to 25.
