RANDOM RANTS XXI: Relapse

I was flying flight simulator when all of a sudden the scenery stopped displaying correctly, and was forced to shut it down. I checked the computer temps, and found the GPU shutting down at 60 degrees C.

I thought I had cleared the damned dust out. I don't want to take apart the computer just to spray of can of air, because it will void the warranty.

I am extremely pissed.

That happened with my old laptop one day. Was playing normaly one day, then suddenly got slamed with artfacts and glitches.

Ugh. Cornell just sent me their financial aid package and they are not giving me enough. Out of their $23k "aid" $8k is in loans, and even if it was all in grants, it wouldn't be enough. It feels like I've wasted 4 years of my life getting straight A's, doing all those extr-curriculars, just to go to a state school (nothing wrong with those, it's just not where I want to be). I have yet to receive financial aid information from Carnegie Mellon, but I am afriad it will be similar. Hopefully the appeal works.


Oh, and spring breaks over and I didn't do most of the homework due this weeks..so you know. that sucks. I brought that upon myslef, though.

Edit: Oh, and it doesn't help that all other scholarship opportunities take forever to even have a CHANCE for a SMALL money grant. College in this o****ry is seriously messed up.

I was just on an online Halo 3 Game in Social Big Team. Half of the other team quit, and my team was so nooby that we still lost, and we were still getting killed more often than we were killing when more people left and it was 7 vs. 1. We lost by like 35 kills. Only me and one other guy on my team even had more than 5 kills. Something is seriously wrong with this.

I hate noobs.

Rant: Mom, as usual, has me on my toes with her "deadline" about when all my homework has to be done. Fingers crossed she forgets as usual in her bouts of short-term memory loss.

I don't want to grow up

Don't remind me... I have to start college next year... and soon I'll have to get a job and drive and... urghhhh. Why can't my parents hit it big and die, leaving me with millions of dollars?

I'll take it! A desert technically can be snow-covered(Antarctica), and so I propose a trade deal between Taniciusfoxland and Yaredland - I trade you your snow for my... umm... heat? And we'll throw in cultural ripoffs from all over the globe.

In Soviet Taniciusfoxica, Kangaroo eats you! ...Whole. I may have injected a little too much snake DNA into them.

Since I lack a life of my own, I tend to spend entire DAYS playing stuff like EU3 over the Summer, since there's not much else for me to do...

I should draw more. Or maybe go on some more walks. My creative juices, interestingly enough, flow much better when I go on a walk through a mostly-quiet neighborhood in the morning.
