And they control the LENGTH of the hair. Also no dying, baldness e.t.c. And the only jewelery allowed are tiny earrings, and only for girls. And yes, Yared is correct - Every day, there is a prayer at 12:00 and at 15:00 (if you haven't figured out already, I'm atheist). And they seem to only hire the strictest teachers, the only subject that has a lot of good teachers is English...Oh, and they make RE compulsory for a GCSE.

Also, my haircut ended up so bad, everyone either pities or mocks me...:([pissed]

RS/RE being compulsory is not a bad thing in the slightest. If more people actually understood various religions, there would be less incidents of frothing fundamentalists or religious intolerance.

They only teach you stuff from the New Testament (this year, I'm learning about a specific chapter), but I heard in Year 11, they teach you abortion, and tell you that it's wrong...

I was looking for online classified for jobs and I stumbled on some modeling jobs. I would be a good model if they wanted to scare everyone off. :lmao:

Otherwise ... nothing. The only job in the newspaper was for a truck driver in the Yukon :ack:

Apparently Chavez is coming to Merida, and might be going to the Teleferico. This means, there is potential I could see him from my balcony.

You've heard this or is anti-abortion tutelage actually on the school curriculum? You're at a Catholic school?

The Pope is coming to the UK and it's costing us an absolute fortune. And what's more they're calling it a ''state visit''! It's insulting that the hideous man is allowed to even set foot in this country, let alone that the British taxpayer is paying for the privelage.

Well, whatever you think of the man, he is a visiting European head of state and he is visiting the country in his official capacity as the sovereign head of the Vatican City.

Arakhor, I have never, at a secular grammar, been taught any RE neutrally.

It's a Catholic school, and abortion is on the curriculum...:( I think they let you give your opinion at some point (though hitting you with a hammer of propaganda that would make Göbbels blush ), so I can at least give them my opinion (like most people on CFC, legalize abortion).

:agree:, but on the up side, my school loves the pope, so there's non-uniform day and no homework the day he comes! :D

Then they might yell "BABY KILLER!" at you. :crazyeye:

Man, this high school assigns a lot of homework... I mean, 3 projects due within 6 weeks? That's pushing it.

But on the bright side, I did 'very well' on the Algebra I EOC without ever taking a minute of Algebra in my life. :) I guess it's a gift.

Just learned on the news that my old employer is going through layoffs. Yeah, Casinos claim to be losing money when I see a ton of people there .

I sometimes wonder why I am always a Tsundere :wallbash:.

The catholic school I went to showed us pictures of aborted babies when we were 16 or 17.

The particularly religious teacher who showed them to us is now the principal.

Also: I can't sleep.
