Less than five absences for the whole year? Yikes!

White people are allowed slack off... :(
If you moved to a civilized land, like the former British Colonies of America from your former penal colony you could benefit from the 'White Man's Leisure'.:p

I can't help you there. Perhaps you could have gotten a foreign exchange program? We had a couple Portugese and one Chinese exchange student this year.

I'm not sure if its whole year or just semester.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if it was whole year.

A giant thunderstorm passed right over my house. It was really scary for a bit.

And there was a tornado out in Western MA. Wow.

Same here! Except that lightning actually hit our house and knocked out the power for some hours and blew up the deep-freezer. Surprisingly, my computer's just fine.

i am surprised you didn't get deaf from the thunder.

My favorite recent extreme-weather event is probably the Great Sydney Red-Out of 2009.

Yeah, but a firenado is just a dust devil that happened upon a fire, visually impressive, but not all that surprsing overall. Also the chance for a tornado to hit Brazil is a hundred times greater than the chance for a tornado to form one, west of the Rocky Mountains, and two, strike a downtown area.

Combine those two and you get something extremely rare like a strong tornado striking downtown Salt Lake City.

I once saw a funnel cloud a quarter mile away from me. But it didn't touch ground and I didn't know what it was until later on.

Unless your like poor aimee :( that should be awesome. The other day we had a big thunderstorm and I just sat out on my porch and watched. Its really cool if you take the time to look at it. Just make sure your indoors if it's that close.

It was nighttime outside but it looked like somebody was trying to turn on a giant lamp but all the lightbulbs kept shorting out.
