Woooo! Finally Mark Stanely's gotten Freefall to Chapter 2!

Kunsthistorisches Museum. The big one opposite the identical building containing the Naturhistorisches Museum.

I've been to it both times I've been in Vienna, it's probably my favourite museum, just beating out the Rijksmuseum. Largely in both cases because I'm a sucker for Dutch Renaissance & masters, but also because both museums are just presented really well, independent of their content.

Oh, might have a look then, because I planned to go to the natural history museum anyways, guess I can also drop by there :).

Okay, now for some clarification: In Rotterdam they have the Tower of Babel finished, in Vienna they have it under construction (both from Bruegel).
In Vienna they also sell a hologram post card which switches between both versions :D (didn't buy it though).

For the rave: Had a pretty nice holiday in Vienna and Slovenia :bounce:.

He'll get represented soo enough.

And get represented! Camikaze for EU president

Rave: I'm making good progress with my idea for a tabletop RPG campaign and its worldbuilding, and so far my friends quite like my ideas. I'll have to order a great big rulebook, but things are going well.

Man my neck hurts. I prefer to think it's due to intense headbanging, but that's highly unlikely.

Perhaps you need recommendations on headbanging-worthy heavy metal then.

My boss finally delivered my paycheck.

For a while I thought that he was short changing me by almost $2200, but then I examined the memo on the check and saw that the time period it was supposed to cover was only May 9th to June 19th (not today, July 19th, as I originally misread. I guess I still have to wait for this month's pay.)

When I reviewed my records for the hours worked only the time period noted, I found he actually gave me an extra $75.50

I'm getting a new office, this one has a carpet and a less annoying heating/cooling system! And it's further away from the kitchen meaning less noise!

The move feels like a downgrade because my old office looked a bit badass. It was basically 2 storage closets joined in an unholy union to form a really odd looking triangular office. The director threw in 2 leather seats that sit in the corner, I put up a world map, some white boards, and some other stuff, and it was a weird uncarpeted office with oddly functioning vents that usually made it a bit too cold or a bit too warm.

I'm being moved so that "the {X} team can all sit together", but I think there are other reasons as well. I think it will also be a better fit for me, in a quieter space. Plus the carpet will make me feel more like a human, and not like somebody who lives in a glorified closet. So overall I am embracing this change with open arms

What the hell's the world map for?

At least your old office wasn't an old bathroom like mine was in Iraq.

Would you want a carpeted office anyway? I sure wouldn't.

Yeah, everyone in this building has a carpeted office. The only parts not carpeted are storage closets, bathrooms, and some hallways.

The janitors don't do an amazing job cleaning up my office each week because every single part of our space is carpeted, except my office and the kitchen. So when they're in here to clean up offices, mine is "special" and they need different gear to clean it. So that seems to lead to them doing a crappier job.

Plus it doesn't look as nice. Plus it's easier for my chair to roll around while I'm trying to concentrate.
