I got to miss my first class today (American Govt.) because I had to stay in the ER yesterday until 1:30 AM

I'm back in my normal optimistic mood!! :D

Nothing has really changed in a good way since two-three days ago, in fact I think it's actually only slightly worse since more time passed by, but who cares!! I can enjoy life again. Balkanic mentality (and laziness :p) takes again over my mind. :D

My Friday night Econometrics class was canceled tonight. While going all the way to downtown Manhattan just to find that note tacked onto the door was....highly disappointing in the least, thanks to already having the weekly Unlimited Express Bus Metrocard, it didn't cost me a thing and it was an otherwise pleasant trip back and forth (by local bus and 5 train in, then express bus back). Ended up getting something to drink at a Duane Reade in Manhattan and some things I needed at the nearby CVS.

MY FIRST COLLEGE DEADLINE IS COMPLETE AND OVER WITH WOOOHOOOOOO

THIS MEANS I HAVE TO WRITE ESSAYS NEXT.

crap.

I knocked out an 11-page essay comparing the 2000 and upcoming 2008 presidential elections in one night on Wednesday. Though, on footnotes, it was rather light, given my propensity to use them. Only 18 were needed, but most of the essay was my own analysis (for 2008) rather than having to drag in fact after fact to support the original thesis.

I got a raise, and more hours of work.

My computer works again!

Darn thing crashed two weeks ago, and I've been chained to a library computer ever since. I think I've averaged 7 hours per day in the library over the past two weeks.

But my computer is back, better than ever, and has a shiny new 120GB hard drive! :D

So now I have to complete a statistics project due in about 11 hours...no sleep tonight...

I am officially the first CFCer to celebrate Thanksgiving this year! (It's Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday, and I celebrated early with my dad)

I am having it on Sunday night, Monday is too busy for me.

I've become one of those snobs that uses their card to pay for $3 worth of stuff.

I made 7 purchases today. The only one I used cash for was giving two quarters for the Daily News. The other six were put on the card and outside of a $10.15 purchase in the CVS down the street, the others were not more than $6. The smallest was around $2.30 for Dollar Menu items.

Why did I do it? For one, I'm totally milking Bank of America's Keep the Change program that will match 100% of "change" earned for the first three months. Chip in the amount it takes to round it up to the next dollar and get 100% return? I'll be in on that, given that I'm with next to nothing at this point. I'm generous (tipping, paying for other people, etc.), but I can also be that much of a money whore.

Second, I haven't gotten the bucketload of change that I usually get pulling my pants down by the end of the day. Since I don't use exact change when buying (for better or worse), this has saved me from mooning Lower Manhattan.

And third, it's no longer the 5-minute process that it was when I was annoyed by people at the supermarket using a credit card to pay for $8 of items. It's much faster these days. Faster than it'd probably take me to dig around and pay exact change.

So, I'll be one of those yuppie-fied card people. Which only makes me scared at my yuppification.

You live in NYC, so its expected. :p

Oh, and the professor not showing up to the evening class tonight allowed me to tune in just as the first pitch was thrown.

But I just can't be a yuppie! I can't afford it!
