Destroy lots of invaders: Intis, Cuirassiers, Elephants and other mounted units.

Don't be too surprised, Eastern China in summer has strong current of warm air and cold air flowing, so I expect heavy rain, lightning and thunder.

Yesterday, the grid went black three times, yet all of them were very short.

Back to Rivers of Babylon:

After the loss of Khorsbad and Pike army, our fronts actually improved--no more cut-off bulges of our forces.

We get Steam from Inca, Egypt and Poly. Since they (AI) have the same set of preference picking techs, I don't think we should research too much.

Our major combats happened around Kish-Tsingtao plains, Odessa-gan-whatever (Odessa in forest, gan-city in hills and plains). We repulse enemy with minimal losses.

After 1000AD, the OCC Iroquois bites the dust, and we replaced the former Iron Hill Japanese city.(We have a Hardy sleeping in it.)



We have an Adventurer army! His favorite job is cleaning elephants, horse archers and wounded Cuirassiers. Single adventurer can also beat def-1 units. We finally get rid of the annoying problem of exposing our units!

I think our coast guard navy should stop enemy landing now. (I saw an Egyptian Galleon in her home water)

I'm building laborers from some 7-pop cities. We must prepare for railing.

Where should we put our Summer Palace? I think Niagara Falls and Odessa have good potential.

Preturn: Incans have lots of money. Decide to turn on research - Getting to High Explosives and rails faster seems worth it. With any luck the Incans can fund our research.

1060 AD: Kill intruders

1070 AD: Raze Paramonga (Incan for 1071 gold). I would like to free up the Adv Army for Pillage.

IBT: Complete Mil Academy. A Pike is attacked but we win.

1080 AD: Get a Leader via a Knight of the Realm Form an Adv Army to pillage the East side. Catch 3 workers (2 disbanded).
Oh good grief - our elephant army with 12 odd HP dies to a def 2 unit.

IBT: Lose an Adventurer that I overlooked.

1090 AD: Get another Leader. Thinking of Rushing the International Port...

IBT: Lose a Pike to a str 6 unit. An Adventurer grabs 3 slaves - should be able to get back.

1100 AD: Sack a Viking town just to our North.

IBT: Lose a Adventurer while defending.

1110 AD: We destroy Edfu (Egyptian) for 447 gold. China's Capitol is disconnected.

IBT: Lose YAA (yet another adventurer) defending an Army that got a bit injured (Pike survives).

1120 AD: Rush international Port MM Industrialization to 1 to shave off a turn.

IBT: Build the International Port in Eridu and build summer Palace in Big attack on Gandasetaigan Lose Pike and Adv but win rest.

1130 AD: Get a leader clearing out units near Gandasetaigan, build another Adventurer Army. Building shield bonus buildings including factories now...
Sunk a Galleon.

IBT: Miscounted for some workers and lost them (4 or 5).

1140 AD: Destroy Tienstin (Chinese). Build Umma - mostly to have a port to heal boats in the North Middle (over moscow).

1150 AD: Killing more units near Gandasetaigan.

Notes:
We have 3 Adv Armies. Two are off pillaging and exploring. One is defending. I can well see us sending out the last one Pillage. Alternatively, we could use it in conjunction with offensive armies to take out cities. The latter may be best once Gandasetaigan has cleared the approaching stack.

We will want Military units before long. I was increasing shields and I think we can finish those builds, but will need Mil to replace loses when they complete.

National Gallery in the Capitol after Factory probably makes sense.

2 turns to Steam + we need High Explosives (4-6 turns). So 6-8 total with 7 being most likely.

Building Arena's in towns that have trouble at 10% lux. They are efficient (2 Happy = 1 gold) albiet with a higher initial cost.

I suspect we will start making real progress forward once we have rails.

Game looks better now. The adventurer armies should really help slow down the enemy. I like the combo of adv army + attackers underneath.

How many workers do we have to successfully rail much? RaR railing is so costly.
 
We need more Laborers, I feel. I probably should have been building more but I wanted to get our shield counts up (shield buildings). Ur can probably concentrate on Laborers.

Summer Palace was in Akkad. Not the best city, I just wanted to get it built for less corruption. Do we want Supreme court? That would lessen corruption even more.

Check the MM. I was getting tired at the end. I don't think there are major issues, but I think you can improve things.

Incans and Egyptians had the gold last time I checked. You may want to see if this is still so.
 
I am hoping that this game will last a little longer so that all those modern buildings and units would be used. So far, our progress has not taken off too much...

Then we should build 3 district courthouses in our high shield town fast. (Akkad, Ashur, Nippar and Babylon), research Modern Legal System and build Supreme Court, after that, sell all district courthouses.

Adab is the new center of attraction for the enemies from the east

clear quite a few units at the Egypt north front, lose a hussar though

send out our adventurer, curassier combo armies out again, run into an Inca settler
(this could mean much money)

shift the hussar army east to deal with more attacks there
get another prize ship

IT lose a few slaves (4) to a camel from the mist
we finally get high explosives, since we want the supreme court, go for modern legal system in 3
our capital gets a factory and 2 district courts are done

clear some units, take out the new Inca city for a whopping 1267gold
Egypt front has a lot of units, bomb and clear 6 of them, but that is not sufficient

defeat a few units and try to stabilize our fronts
capital is on 2 turn hussars for the time being

IT lose another adventurer at Adab

start to attack Inca Supe for more money
clear more units and almost lose the hussar army to an adventurer :eek:

IT we win one on defense, Supe get reinforced by 2 Inca units
we get Modern Legal system, go for electricity (and RP next)

clear the front yet again and lose a hussar in the process
we do have 2 settlers and should try and expand slowly

defeat 4 units and raze Supe for 1322gold

RR is a very slow process currently and will be for a long time
Nippur is building the 3rd district court and Akkad is on a supreme court prebuild
Once we have the court, please sell the district courts as their 4gpt maintenance is too high

In the early turns, I capture Tsingtao port.

China, Inca and Egypt are fundamentalism, good sign.

Enemy adventurer is dangerous, because it may infiltrate and capture our workers/cities/artilleries. Keep frontal weak units on guard.

Electricity is in, Replacement Parts next. Supreme Court was built.

Enemy cavalry and infantry horde are still numerical superior.

One tech to consider going for after RP is city planning. Being able to plant forests can be a real boon for grassland cities. Check to see how many cities could benefit from it - I think the following is right - instead of 5 food we get 1 food and 4 shields (with rails). I think it also allows tundra towns since you can plant a forest and then plant the city on the forest.
