better system buttons

are your social policies ready for a change?
is your resource allocation unlocked?

Ready or Not switches the system buttons to full-color icons when their screens are unlocked.
it also turns the Social Policies button to gold during celebrations.

That will be really helpful, since I have both the habits of a) getting the idea to mess around with the resources when its not possible and b) dismissing the info in the right lower corner at the turn start that I can because of something more pressuring and then forgeting my chance until turn end  Your mod should elimate the first case and give me at least a big chance to remember in the second:) One more time a huge "Thank you!" for your continued efforts to improve the games UI.

hehe yeah, i have exactly the same problems! this will hopefully remind me to change stuff before i end the turn

Ooh was literally thinking yesterday how something exactly like this would be really useful!
Smth similar for great works would be handy too, lighting up when there's great works that need slotting in (for when you have some in the archive and then build a building that can house them).

i originally wanted to do that too! unfortunately i don't think there's an icon for Great Works in the same style as the other two, which come from the game's action notifications. it's quite difficult to make matching icons, so i might not get to it until modders get better support for UI assets & textures.

I see - what about just a number underneath the icon for how many more are needed, similar to the celebration duration?

nah, the game uses that interface element strictly for turn counters. it would just confuse people. i'll revisit great works when i have a better idea (or better tools) to implement it the way i want.

I was wondering if you could add an option to have the icons to always have color and have a number counter for each icon. The game does not have enough colors in it, so having these be colorful with a counter would be more visually appealing (at least to me).

i'm not sure what you're asking for. the colored buttons indicate "readiness" for policies and resources, which is the whole point of the mod. the turn counters are for marking time, and the other buttons don't need timers. it sounds like you want a different mod, and i cannot support two entirely different designs in the same mod. it's too much work.
