Plan 2 is merely to cause choas and destory the road (think of it as pillaging in civ) it's not to defeat or even stop the enemy merely to confuse them. After all there could be horsemen in the barracks ready to gallop up the road to defend the prison.

Thats also how I think of it. While the enemy is confused, we simply come in and attack, take the hostages back, and save the day.

I have made my decison. It will be a variation of COA 3. I will PM the details to LH, and everyone here will recieve the report, i presume, when the night eagles return.

So LH standby as i PM the variation please.

EDIT: Post 1600. A sign maybe?

okay so yeah i was tempted.

but isn't this here a complete betrayal of your previous statement that the government should represent the views of the people?

You could have waited to see if anyone volunteered support for your desire, but after everyone stated there objections to it on different grounds you went ahead with it without much care...

Actually i took into account some of your ideals. i made the plan so that the worst part of the casualties wouldnt happen in almost any scenario. Also 2 and 3 are very similar. The only big difference is where we start. I consider this plan to have a higher chance of success and made the decision. Hopefully it will work. If it fails, then i accept total and complete responsibility, and possibly step down so that aysee can take over depending on how bad and in what way we fail.

LH is offline, so we will find out what happens when he logs back on. Also, Resident-uk supported a variation of Plan 3 as well, and as he is military advisor, i took his advice very seriously. We will find out if i was right in doing so soon enough.

Sorry, was off eating dinner. Now the update-fest begins! I'll write this up in the format of my as-yet-unfinished novel Gotterdammerung. Criticism welcome! I will answer all questions when I finish writing.

Twilight of the Gods? Is that supposed to be a good or bad sign?

Actually, I supported ravus's plan 3, but ach, too late to say anything now, and as Julius Caesar would say:

The die is cast!

Ilduce-i mentioned earlier that i didnt know much about this espionage system you were talking about since i dont have BTS and have never played it. Can you explain it?

Aysee-The name Gotterdamerung is the name of a scenario to start off in the HOI game series over at paradox. That might be where he got the name.

And the variation is something i suppose you will find out in the update. I want it to be a surprise, and i will copy paste exactly what i PM'd LH after the update if you want.

@Arya: if I am correct,LH got it from Warfront:Turning Point, where the main German hero remarks that the remaining Nazis seek to send their country into Gotterdammerung if they can't rule(they have V2s pointed at major cities)

Oh that might very well be so. I guess we are just waiting for LH's update in Gotterdamerung fashion?

As the military adviser, i throw my support in for plan 3

Its too late to give any more advising. I already chose. But since you supported it before, thats the advice from you that i counted.

Well ok, i might not be on much, hopefully you goes dont go off and make 300+ posts a day :3 Now i know how cull feels

Athers stood on the forcastle of the Morning Glory, his eyes on the horizon. They were but minutes from landing on the island, and all the Eagles were waiting anxiously. This was their first test in actual combat and if they failed - well, best not to dwell on that. Athers hoped they were ready. He felt sure they were inside, but on the eve of the unit's baptism in fire he couldn't be sure. He took a deep, reassuring breath and turned back to his men, his blue eyes hard and determined.

"Right lads, this is for all the chips - no screwups on this outing. We have to pull it off - you know that. I've trained you since the beginning - many of you were soldiers around the world before then. All I know is that if Sitting Bull ever finds me I'm in deep trouble. And when I say deep I mean deep deep dark trouble. A lot of you can probably attest to similar stories. 2LT Masters over there comes from the US of A and is a wanted man from Washington to New York. I believe Corporal Potter has the death sentence in four countries. You know what combat is like. So do I. But do your jobs and no one loses a friend."

"Inspiring." Captain Drashgorth observed dryly. "You lads take it from 'ere."

Athers nodded, seeing his men ready for the task that would make - or break - the Night Eagles. He strode over to the netting dropped over the side of the ship and started to climb down. His men followed, splitting into their respective teams to make the trip easier to organize. Athers slid into the water quickly and began to swim for the land, his sword a weight on him. His bow was encased in a tube that protected it from water, and was thus yet another weight. It was only moments, however, before his feet struck the bottom. The rest of the commandos were moving in the water as well, sanding as they could. The lights of the supply port beckoned.

Athers waded forward swiftly, his sword coming out of its sheath with a soft shink!. His men were right behind him, still aiming for the lights. Athers began to grow worried that the Russians would look out and see the Night Eagles coming in. As it was, his fears were groundless, as he made it ashore before anything occurred. His troops split quickly into multiple groups, each one moving into a building. Athers himself waited. A moment later a few Russians in sleeping clothes emerged from one of the barracks at swordpoint. A few more joined them quickly. By now one of the Glory's boats had made it ashore and once Athers was sure all the Russians had been rounded up he sent them off to the Glory to wait out the night. His men double-checked that the place was secure and then rallied his men. They set out for the prison compound, ready to fight.

Second Lieutenant Jack Masters led his men along competently in Athers' wake. His commander's men disappeared into the forest, Masters only a second behind them. His men passed by Athers' in the woods, and he distinctly heard his commander call out in a low voice:

"It's your show now, Jack!"

Masters saluted and waved his men forward. The compound lay ahead.

OOC: They'll get longer and more detailed when the fighting starts:D

Wait how many updates is this going to take? I thought it was going to be all in one. Not complaining, just curious.

Nice writing style though. Maybe a little more detail? If you feel like it. after all, none of us has ever been there. And also, how did sitting bull come into this? Lol

Very nice! I somehow missed it when I was sleeping, so maybe next time wait for me. uh? :p

Cull, you asked for a quiet life by joining the stonehenge monks. We are supposed to wait for an ex-presient who asked for a QUIET life?:p
