The First Grand War
The First Grand War
No ring to it at all. Using Great and Grand is quite weak in a title for war IMO.
First Central Europe War.
Roman War? Germanic War?
Thinking of the Korean or Vietnam war.

I like the Caesarian War that just really pops, you know its like Bam! Especialy if you say it right.

Unless my eyes deceive me, the latest screenshot of Ireland shows iron and/or silver over there, and I wouldn't be surprised if coal shows up there later in the game. It's full of resources which could be useful to us, and those are an incentive to invade the island. Given some time to prepare, and to let the war-weariness wear off, we could easily invade the island and keep its resources for ourselves.
That's actually a non-issue. In Civ IV, War Weariness is applied to a specific Civ. Right now, we have Roman War Weariness, but if we turned around and attacked someone else, we wouldn't start with any WW. But if we made peace, and fought later, we'd start with that WW (it fades, but very, very slowly, so much so that it's kind of broken).
Edit: I'd also vote for Caesarian War.
There's a lot broken when it comes to war. For instance, if you take one city, its surrounded by enemy culture meaning you have to take another city which is also surrounded by enemy culture....
So, that limited border skirmish just turned into an occupation.
Yeah. Yeah, there's that, too. I couldn't count the number of times I wished I could just say "yeah, sorry AI guy. I only wanted the one city, but I had to keep going to make sure it was useful!" I wonder what will be broken in Civ V?![]()
How about we stop spamming about the name of a war? The war isn't even FINISHED YET, for god's sake!![]()
