RebelNES

Great update. I'm still very much interested as well, it is just that last turn was sort of a slow turn in my plans.

From: Capitan Calisto de Vivero of the PRNL
To: The Republic of de Soto

To my neighbours to the West, I bring this plea of help. As you are no doubt aware, the city of Punta Gorda was recently captured from the illegitimate government under Archuleta. However, my forces in the city, as well as the citizens of the city itself, have been besieged after repelling an attempt to take it back by government forces. We are in a dire situation. We need your help.

I understand that you have been denied access to the de Soto River. Am I to believe that a government that would deny you access to this precious resource, the namesake of your country, could possibly be friendly to your nation? The pretender government of Nueva Leon is hostile to your own, and should it manage to retake the lands that we have liberated, then it will move on to another land. The Republic of de Soto. Archuleta is a military man, and his entire focus is war. He is probably preparing right now to attack your Republic. As I see it, we can work together for mutual benefit.

I need help lifting the siege of Punta Gorda, and, if possible, pushing further into Nueva Leon. You need a friendly government in your closest neighbour, and access to the de Soto River. We can provide for eachother. If the Republic of de Soto sends military assistance to my forces in Punta Gorda to launch a break out operation, then we will be able to gather support from the citizens of Nueva Leon and regain the momentum to take back the nation. If you do this, you have my assurance that I will co-operate with your government and treat your nation as a great ally. I will also lift the blockade on the de Soto as soon as I have control of it. As you can see, we both have something to gain.

I await your response.

To the Republic of De soto

Our Messengers give the same plea. The Military government, after Punta Gorda, would most likly travel north. But an attack on their forces would force them to run and you will be soveriegn again over the River of your Namesake.

From the NLUS
To The Villages around Bonita

We apologize for any grief caused by the civilian casualties in our attack. This was supposed to be an attack on what we thought was a Lord's Soldiers supply depot. We highly condone attacks on civilians, and will provide financial compensation for any property damage. Rest assured we will do everything in our power to make sure civilians will not be harmed again.

To the Lord's Soldiers

Will you agree to a cease-fire, it is really a pointless war when we could be working together to help the people of Nueva Leon.

Lurkers Comment…

@carmen

I think you made typo. It reads as if you encourage your troops massacre civilians then offer the survivors money for the property destroyed. Basically you stated that property is more important then people.

We accept your offer of a cease-fire on two conditions. You cease all comunications with the current military dictatorship and you help us to drive this dictatorship from Bonita. The second point can be dropped but there will be no compromise reguarding the first. I would be glad and happy if you chose to ally with us but I will let you live in peace even if you don't.

We are truly sorry for your loss and pray for the dead and the injured but please accept the compensation and stay the hand of your retibution. The money can be used to finish the church and help the families affected and if you attack the NLUS you will be killed and there will never be peace. Even as we speak we are in talks with the NLUS and belive that at least we should be able to make sure such an inccident will not happen again.

Begin attacking Valdez in force, moving to push out the government troops. Step up road blocks on both the roads around the city, attacking any government forces attempting to enter the city. Using the transport helicopter and the paras, raid one of the more poorly guarded supply depots in Valdez, with an emphasis on obtaining anti-tank weapons, RPGs, and other heavy weapons. If possible, again using the paras and the helicopter, find out were the government tank laager is and raid in, with the mission being to either steal or disable the tanks there. Have the militia begin moving into the outskirts of the city, calling on the local populace for aid and support.

Continue work on the secret project in the jungle.
