Great update. I'm still very much interested as well, it is just that last turn was sort of a slow turn in my plans.
From: Capitan Calisto de Vivero of the PRNL
To: The Republic of de Soto
To my neighbours to the West, I bring this plea of help. As you are no doubt aware, the city of Punta Gorda was recently captured from the illegitimate government under Archuleta. However, my forces in the city, as well as the citizens of the city itself, have been besieged after repelling an attempt to take it back by government forces. We are in a dire situation. We need your help.
I understand that you have been denied access to the de Soto River. Am I to believe that a government that would deny you access to this precious resource, the namesake of your country, could possibly be friendly to your nation? The pretender government of Nueva Leon is hostile to your own, and should it manage to retake the lands that we have liberated, then it will move on to another land. The Republic of de Soto. Archuleta is a military man, and his entire focus is war. He is probably preparing right now to attack your Republic. As I see it, we can work together for mutual benefit.
I need help lifting the siege of Punta Gorda, and, if possible, pushing further into Nueva Leon. You need a friendly government in your closest neighbour, and access to the de Soto River. We can provide for eachother. If the Republic of de Soto sends military assistance to my forces in Punta Gorda to launch a break out operation, then we will be able to gather support from the citizens of Nueva Leon and regain the momentum to take back the nation. If you do this, you have my assurance that I will co-operate with your government and treat your nation as a great ally. I will also lift the blockade on the de Soto as soon as I have control of it. As you can see, we both have something to gain.
I await your response.
