Maxa. Roads cost $20 each. I originally extended the road all the way to Istanbul until I remembered roads were $20 each.

On another note, Allies! Get more players! :D

I read it was 10 though.

Introducing Roads, Railways, and Highways

Movement of all units reduced to 3. Building this infrastructure doesn't require CY's build which mean you can build as many as you want a turn.

Roads: Cost $10 each. Traveling along a road boosts speed.

Railways: Costs $20 each. Traveling along a railway GREATLY increases speed.

Highways: Costs $20 each. Traveling along faster than road, slower than railroad. These add 5% defensive bonus in territories they're built in.

Wait a second....

*Reads Mech's orders*

I understand what happened. You have a road going all the way to Istanbul (I confused orders and rules, long story).

Mech, you have HIGHWAYS.

Turkey, that land is rightfully Russian because it was an allied power that owned it before they collapsed. if you set foot in the territory, we will take it as a declaration of war. We have no problem with you expanding into former polish territory in the balkans however.

I think we all have a (strange) misunderstanding of sandbags/concrete walls versus actual base defenses.

If you have no units in a territory with sandbags/concrete walls, there's no defending anyway.

I kept wondering why people kept building these things without units and I think that's why.

No its because I have extra cash and cant built units until next turn....on second thought though, I will change it to no sandbags and simply bank the cash for troops next turn.

EDIT: Is there a refinery in that polish gem province?

It's because they're cheap and people don't realize they are statistically useless...

No, there are sandbags and concrete walls and because the territory is neutral, taking the territory with a unit won't result in the lost of those buildings.

Unless of course two armies fight in it without engineers.

I rather buy Pillboxes. If not for anything but ZoC preventing sinful one-turn blitz.

GOD DAMMIT I FORGOT TO GIVE ORDERS.

*squeaky voice* Listen to me! No expanding in places I don't want you to!

But AA's right. Even if it was once allied, it doesn't mean you can do whatever with it. Besides, you already have a gem and 2 ore. Greed? Maybe, but there's a reason it's called NEUTRAL territory. You never claimed it. (Or did you?)

Arya...upgrade your darn refinery and start building more in your other Ore locations. seriously. just do.

How much does an upgrade cost? Just checked the rules, and its not clear...also, would an upgrade require a construction yard?

1. Upgrades don't require construction yards.

2. Upgrades cost $60 each.

Thats what I thought, but i couldnt find it in the rules. Thanks. orders will be updated accoridngly for the upgrade.

I'm really not going to comment on what just happened. It would probably kill me.

"... they bomb our cities and murder our comrades, but we know they are fools, and they do not scare us! And let it be known that no terrorist can shaken our resolve, no fascist can undermine our unity. We will continue to endeavour to advance our socialist Republic and to build a truly democratic world. As for those who dared to oppose the people's will, let them face the people's wrath. Let them face the guns and turrets from this factory!"
