Red Dwarf Mafia: The Smeggening [Game Thread - Concluded]

Not mutually exclusive.

Plenty of people play Mario games competitively, in any case.
This is all very interesting and super relevant discussion.

Still waiting on an answer to my earlier question. Would you like me to quote it again for you? I know going back is so hard.

So the scum are going to hide in the things I created but you're voting me instead of voting the scum.

You're truly living up to your name.

They're both very useful, in different ways. But that wasn't my argument despite how much you morons would like it to be.

Try reading my posts. This time with your eyeballs open.

Man, I love being called a moron to my (internet) face  And blind. What a guy!

Yes, I'm voting for you. No, I don't think you're scum. But tell, me, oh wise one: with your runaway wagon, who are the scum? Help us idiots! Save us from ourselves!

Consider this your speed wagon 1 majiffy.

I highly doubt anyone will come to your defense. It's up to you to turn it around.

Voting has to be random in the earliest stages. There's no Night 0. Literally nothing for the people above you to go on when you made that post, except rng.

Kenning.

And Zack is VI

Yes but voting willy-nilly does nothing. It literally provides no additional information.

Speedwagons are focused and can be gauged.

Well, I suppose that if you start an unprovoked storm in a teacup like Majiffy is trying to do, then you do indeed have emotional reactions to go with. Of course, they're not going to be useful ones, at least until other people start getting involved.

Eh, any game is likely to have multiple levels of play. This is my first game here but I get the vibe that it's on the more casual ed. There are plenty of places where you can go if you want to play for the challenge or whatever, but in casual play like this being intentionally rude and insulting as a "strategy" to get reactions out of people generally doesn't fly, which in turn hurts town, since it directs the discussion away from wolf-hunting and towards trying to stop a player from using "arguments" that contain classy sentences like "you're in my stupid book," a fact which I think has already clearly been demonstrated during the day so far. It's easy enough to promote better gameplay without being aggressive about it, and more likely to get results since you're less likely to alienate people and they'll be more likely to actually ficus on your logic.

I don't think you're scum, so I'm not going to vote for you, but I do think you're going to hurt the town unless your behaviour changes, so I don't mind if other people do.

I think I'll Unvote and change to BSmith because I'm not a fan of posts that are votes and nothing else. There might lot be a lot to read on day one, either way, but at least an extra sentence or two gives you something to form an impression from.

All you've done so far is attract three votes on you by running your mouth a lot. Assuming that we are not in fact scum, what does that tell anyone?

That's a pretty big assumption. One I'm not going to take.

Your hypothetical is about as useless as RVS.

Okay. Majiffy, you're hurting town right now. Even if you are town, the wolves can just say, oh, hey, this is a good opportunity to get an easy lynch by voting for Majiffy. Let's all vote for Majiffy, guys, and tadah, they are up one point.

If you can show that you're willing to be slightly more productive than running around insulting people and calling them out to provoke reactions, then I might unvote you. As is? Not inspired in that direction.

So tell us, Majiffy, what use is running your mouth like this? It's not helping anybody except perhaps allowing scum to avoid scrutiny for a while.

Majiffy if you want a bandwagon so much, vote for one of the ones that has already developed (Snerk, Arakhor, yourself). What irks me is your refusal to follow your own strategy. You wanted to sound like you have a better plan than everyone else, without actually following it. Then, when you were called out, you responded with an angry rant that derails the thread from scumhunting. You still haven't voted in accordance with your own strategy. The first part of that is a legitimate scumtell. The rest is grounds for a policy lynch.

Majiffy said:

My semi-random vote on you is creating a reaction as we speak.

Majiffy said:
Statistically it's more likely I'm town.
.

1: That's true of everyone. By that logic we should no lynch until the mafia kill us all while we sleep.

2: I've lynched enough mafiosi D1 to know that D1 lynching is worth it.

Like you're doing?

>Tell me to be productive.
>Admits that I'm provoking reactions.

I'm the most productive member of this game so far.

So back to that whole "wolves go for an easy lynch by voting Majiffy" argument you were talking about when you voted me for being abrasive and then pulled an argument out of your ass that literally disproves itself? Yeah.

On the other hand, if you are scum, you're suicidal. Or a very large risk-taker. Either way, it ain't doing you good.
