TO: King Lucas I of Portugal
FROM: Archbishop Leone D'Este of La Plata
This is acceptable to us. You protect us from European aggression, and we shall ensure your Brazillian colony is unmolested. We are god's only true kingdom on earth, so certainly you can trust us. We share the one, true, Roman Faith afterall.
TO: The Heathen Ruler of the Incan Empire
FROM: Archbishop Leone D'Este of La Plata
Your strange religion sickens us. If you convert to the one true faith, we may deem it acceptable to dispense indulgences to your people to save them from the wraths of hell. You can refuse, of course. But why would you deny your people the word of god?
TO: The Stadholder of the Dutch Republic
FROM: Archbishop Leone D'Este of La Plata
You and your people are nothing but heretics. But alas, somethings cannot be changed. However, despite our differences, you are our Christian brothers (even if your ways differ from the one true faith), thus we could never raise our weapons against you. But we do not desire war and misery..but rather peace and prosperty. We believe a Non-Aggression pact, and perhaps trade would be ideal.
