I'm running civ5 through steam on my 2011 Macbook pro. 2.7 GHz, Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM...

The game has been running great other than it suddenly crashing sometimes but recently I updated the game through steam and now for some reason when I go to play all of the resources on every tile are showing and won't go away.

I'm not sure it was something I unknowingly did or what but it's annoying.

I took a screenshot so you could see what Im talking about.

any ideas of why this might be and/or how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Happy Civing

Hi, welcome :wavey:

I assume you mean the resource yields - the round blobs that show the gold/food/hammers produced by each hex?

Have you tried clicking the scroll to the left of the mini-map? That offers options to switch on and off the resource and resource yield displays.

AlanH - thanks that was the problem. Must've bumped it and not realized. Thanks.

Traxx: I have the same specs on my Mac. Not sure what you mean by 'crashing', but my comp got overheated and therefor the whole machine just froze. Solution was to buy myself an external cooler tray with fans. Now the game just works.
