Return to Roots NES 2

Rome flurished. The war was over for quite some time now. People were able to get back to pre-war conditions with now women's rights. People didn't seem to mind the wars of America. As Rome prospered those fools were fighting each other. When will they learn. Rome Almost became a pacifist nation over night. The Pax Romana party took nearly half the seats. They refused all bills on increasing the army size. A deal was struck between the militant and commercial partys to increase the size of the Navy. These were the ideas of the time of the parties-

Empirelist- Increase army size. Help allys. Strike back at Egypt.
They recieved the least amount of votes in centuries(15 seats)

Commercial- Increase trade. Increase Navel size against pirates.
They were able to recieve plenty of votes for this election(25)

Militant- This old party wanted increased Navel power.
They were able to score the same amount of seats as the Commercial party(25)

Pax Romana- This old party was all for peace. Lower size of military. Become isolated from the world.
The Pax Romana party gained a whopping 55 seats. And Emperor

The militant and commercial party pushed for a navel expansion. With news of pirates and the uncertanty of the Medditarnian stability they needed to secure the seas. The two parties had some support in both parties. But also some of their members dfidn't like the idea. It would seem the bill would fail. But luck would have it that the emperor, although a Pax Romana supported the idea. He thought the same way the commercial party thought. help protect our shipping.

At the day of the decision the bill came out 62 to 58. The emperor voted for the bill making it a law. The navel size would be increased.

Isolate ourselves from the American conflict(don't help any member of the war)

The drums rolled as the army of Grand Spain(new name because my land is so much more than just Spain) marched on. The hopeless exsuse of a army was only standing there in the clearing. The ranged weapons all fired 6 shots each causeing 20% kills among the NHC troops. The pikemen defended well angisnt the charge of the caverly. but when the Grand Spainish swordsmen and pikemen arrived the battle was won with a great general being reckonaised in the fog of war.
The army took over the rest of the colony as more troops arrived from mainland Spain.

Why are you embargoing me? What have I done except aid you in a war aganist the NHC? I can not beleinve this is all because I wouldn't give in to your demands about Ireland. Is there any way for a freindship to be decided between us. Remember Spain was letting people have a say in govement before the new world was even discovered.

We know we're allied with you.But we also can't forget you supported our enemies in the recent world war.For this you will be excluded from the Pacific alliance.We also demand reparations,so we don't fully side with our friends in Washington and Oslo.Iroquios will give us Oregon/Washington and Azteca his caribbean islands so we get access to the Atlantic.We will also get control over the Panama channel.

I hope you understand I just can't attack my allies.But if the other PA members agree and azteca/iroquois refuse to give me the territories demanded we will help you.

-finish great wall of India (begun 1000 years ago)
-3/5 navy head for aztecas and Iroquios coast but do not fire unless attacked

We refuse to give you any land, we offered you cash reparations but that obviously was not enough for you. Are you not satisfied with the massive chunk of land you already hold in North America? You can have our land over our dead bodies. Even your mighty nation is no match for our combined armies (two gigantic armies with tiny reserves). Should even a single Indian cross into our borders we will declare war.

I have decided that there will be no second post today and instead the daily update will occur at around 4-6 PM EST everyday, as it works for me much better than 8-9 PM.
 
ok EQ as you know I won't be around till saturday. Running orders are to retake the colony and keep put of wars while buliding up education.

Guys please don't invade me just because I will be away!
 
The Aboriginian Empire continues the expansion of elite military units, and begins transferring forces to Madagascar to be in a position to counter any Alliance of the Nile attack immediately.
 
I am sorry to say, but this NES appears to have run its course.

There will be no more updates for RTOR 2 and no more orders should be posted. For more RTOR playing i suggest RTOR 3 or you can wait till RTOR 4, which is one i will be modding (much better than i did this one i hope). This NES lasted for almost 2 months, over 900 posts, and was the greatest NES i ever modded. RTOR 4 will drift away from this one and be more like Toasty's RTORs. Hope to see you there! Feel free to keep posting on the timline, on what could have happened. I will also keep posting on the story: EQ's History of the World. I may even continue from where we have now left off.

erez is correct. I have decided to reopen RTOR 2 has it has been by far the best RTOR. 3 and 4 were pathetic (ask anyone). I was never really able to "get into" 4 as moderator like i was with 2. Tommorrow i will reopen RTORNES 2 for anyone. You can take your old nation or change nations. Up to you.
