[RFC] 40 Civilizations: Destruction of History

you should never refuse a flip, just wait 10 turns and take back the city. its so much easier :)

France has invented a religion and is now annoying me with their super culture (-4 relations for close borders!)

I discover my old city of Athenai and declare war on the Independants

That's when I noticed a large army of independant soldier's headed for France. Soon, France has been captured and destroyed by the independant empire. Ironically, the reason behind Frances easy capture was that he was building the Apostolic Palace, now in the hands of the independants. Take THAT!

Unfortunatly, we cannot vote for the independant empire, so we have a choice of England or Spain. I vote for Spain. Also, I've noticed Spain has the holy city (the holy city was the free Celtic city I got while I was Greece). Then why is the independant border around the city when Spain has it? I should explore that area to find out

In another wierd twist of events, Spain wins, England voted for Spain instead of themselves, and Ragnar didn't like any of the contestants so he entered himself in last minute and voted for himself

Then, Ragnar captures London

BTW, this is Italy. It consist's of the city of Rome. Make's me regret sparing Rome all those years ago (I didn't lose that war, I spared them :D)

Meanwhile, we capture Athenai (now Athens). Surprisingly, nobody died. Except for the Athenai troops, of course

Then, Italy shows us his bad army

Good timing too. We just discovered paper. Now we can build an embassy before they disappear

Then, Turkey spawns. Surprisingly, Babylon declares war on Turkey. Even more surprising is that Babylon is still alive

Italy want's peace. So we give it to him. He wasn't really doing anything anyway. I'd like to focus on building my cities before I decide to go warring

It's Dawn of Civilization, as you can see by the yellow Deutschland. :p And you're right to be confused, Yoshi. The Catholic holy city was elsewhere earlier on, and was moved to Madrid because Spain built the Apostolic Palace there.

How come Rome isn't listed as dead pre-Italy?

Lol, nice 14th century Colossus. Pretty interesting that Babylon and Egypt were still kicking. I guess the camel archers in Egypt decided sacking the floodplains was good enough. ...Damn camel archers.

How the hell is your foreign stability so decent? I was flirting with -80 recently. And it's not like I'm a war-mongering dictator (quite the opposite really), I've got healthy relations, plenty of open borders, several defensive pacts, plenty of foreign trade. Isn't that stuff supposed to raise it? ...I kind of figured foreign is just the rather nonsensical limiting factor for civs with huge economies. Is it exporting that brings it down? :confused:

Some fun stuff going on. Definitely a bit more hectic than my game.
 
Spain makes a good vassal, at least in regular RFC, if Izzy vassalizes peacefully.

All England has been doing is spamming boats. Since this war is going nowhere, I declare peace so I can focus on more important things. THE NEW WORLD! I also noticed that England has already begun to found Canadian cities

Ok, I've played another turnset. Man, I'm probably as excited as you guys to what will happen next. How nice that my craziest RFC game turned out to be the one I was going to show to you guys :D

Anyway, I'll post the update tomorrow. What will we expect?

-Congress happens! We vote for cities and it all goes very very well for me :D

-Somebody becomes my vassal!

-I found my first city in North America! It's a Canadian city!

-More civil wars! Guess which 3 civilizations we're eliminated!

-A Civilization that had died earlier rises back to power!

-And my stability is still good! How? Apparently, it's my economy and expansion that is keeping it up



All these questions are answered tomorrow! Only on Destruction of History!
