[RFC] Rome: Eternal Empire

Switching to nationhood means additional stability for every civ you're at war with, and switching to occupation means additional stability for every city you capture. That's if you have enough stability to endure a few turns of anarchy.

That's my problem. I'm pretty sure I'll collapse if I go into anarchy.

collapse and then try to retake the whole empire back.

That's fun to do on Germany - blitz through half the world, then when you inevitabely collapse, just roll back through your own cities with panzers. :D

or just retake italy and then try to win space victory. i like more the small kingdoms.

change capital to Constantinople, collapse, take over greece, rename your kingdom <<greece>>, kill the turks and win a space victory.

No, Rome is better :p

no Athens is better.

Rome took over Greece, need I say more?

And greece with 300 spartans defended thermopyles from a persian army of 1.000.000 men.

Lies, there are evidence there their were more Greeks and less Persians. Popular culture has taught people the wrong thing.

wrong, there were only 300 spartans against 1.000.000 persians. if greece was united there would be no roman empire. also the spartans were defeaded only after they were betrayed by a local greek.

There were 300 Spartans and some 800 Thebans.

According too different people of that era, the numbers were.

Greek Total
5,200+ (Herodotus)
7,400+ (Diodorus)
11,200 (Pausanias)

Persian Total:

70,000–300,000 (modern estimates)

This.

You're really wrong Christos, when the Romans conquered Greece they weren't in their golden age anymore, plus the roman legions were the best kind of formation and soldiers in the WORLD.
beating a Roman army would be something almost impossible to do.

wrong, the king of pontus almost united the greeks and defeaded the roman legions.

And phalanxes were entirely obsolete at this point, they just didn't hold up to the superior Roman troops.
