After a fierce battle in near Patna, Mongolian troops emerge victorious and lay siege to the city. In 1535, I finish researching alphabet and trade it to the Khmer for 50 gold and literature. Hopefully I can continue trading for techs so I can catch up to rest of the world. At least I can keep my research slider on 100%.
After years of skirmishing, Mumbai falls in 1560.
The siege at Patna has slowly eroded Mughal troops through attrition and are quickly reinforced by soldiers fresh from the campaign against Mumbai. With these reinforcements, Patna falls in 1570.
The Capture of Patna has ensured the financial stability of the empire. The two shrines there give Mughal leaders like Babur all the wealth they need to continue with expansion and will allow the research slider to always stay at 100% and allow for a surplus.
Using a settler that was brought with the main army, The Mughals settle Erdenet in eastern India. Northern India is now under Mughal rule!
The Mughal empire converts to Islam to please Saladin. Hopefully this will allow for fruitful alliances and favors in the future with the other Islamic states. It's time the Mughal empire grows, builds, and forms a new core area of Mongol Strength. Once the economy picks up and more research is done, the world will tremble once more at Mongol might!
For tomorrow's chapter: The Mughal Empire Expands South!
