RFCE++ Beta

Build a work boat and send it to an Atlantic access resource. "Use" the boat to gain the AA. Turn on resource display if you cant find it. Dont forget to guard it!

Suggestion: Change AA to a land based Atlantic port resource. This way you arent able to cripple AI by spamming Privateers.

Well I suppose it makes sense to be able to stop the AI from colonizing if you have total control of the sea... It's already strange concept-wise to be able to colonize when you have 0 ships, so it's probably best if you can penalize a colonizing civ for not having a good navy.

Well, I somewhat agree. If the AI was aware that a pillaged AA stops all colony production.. But they dont.

AI Spain keeps switching its religion every few turns.

In my game as England it switched to Islam, then Orthodoxy, finally back to Catholicism, which contributed to its collapse.

In my game as Sweden it switched to Protestantism and never switched back (France switched back). These cannot be possibly due to diplomacy.

In my game as Spain, AI Cordoba switched to Catholicism despite it being a very minor religion (Islam has great majority) and a Furious relationship with Catholic Spain (me).

I suspect there might be some messups in the religion tags of Spain in the code.

In a game with Novgorod and it is extremely weird as no other civs will change their civics except religous ones. Any ideas why this is happening?

i quit this mod like 4 months ago due to this. made several rage posts about it. still not fixed lol

Perhaps the reason it's not fixed is that Morholt hasn't been active for months now ? Last connexion is 23rd of April but I don't recall any of his posts since long before that.
So the non-fixing is not due to anyone ignoring your feedback but to no bug-fixing at all (and there are LOTS of bugs that need fixing).

I suppose he'll come back eventually though, just be patient or feel free to fix the bugs yourself :)

All these new issues are because of the merge of K-mod and RFCE++
K-mod is developed for vanilla BtS, so I suspect there were some unexpected issues for Morholt

Anyway, I also really hope he will be back soon, as the latest version of RFCE++ is way too buggy
I don't really have the time to take up developing/fixing this too, polishing RFCE 1.0 and working on 2.0 is more than enough...
Heck, I'm not even sure I could fix these new issues with K-mod
You guys cannot do anything besides waiting for Morholt
Meanwhile I advise to play with an earlier version of RFCE++ or the SVN version of RFCE. 1.1 is coming along nicely

^ Could you provide a link to the SVN version? All I can find is the link to SourceForge.

Also, does 1.1 include civs like Novgorod/Prussia? I play them just for the Prokofiev soundtracks.

Edit: Got the SVN link. It's https://rfceurope.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rfceurope/RFCEurope/

Someone should put it in the OP of the Starting Information thread.

Yes i agree on SVN being better signposted - i only found it by searching the forum for posts containing 'sourceforge'

Yeah you are right of course
Unfortunately I don't own the OP of the Starting Information thread
I already put the link to the 1.0 thread though

@iOnlySignIn: RFCE 1.0 doesn't have any of the new civs introduced in RFCE++, and it will stay this way for 1.1 or any later versions too
We decided against it, as there isn't enough room for most of those new civs
The plan is to have an RFCE 2.0 on a bigger map, with most of the additions from RFCE++ merged in

Morholt has left for the Crusade.

Apparently he's on an older version where Great Generals leave for the Crusade.

We will miss him. We should have Settled him instead.

If I were you, I'd double check if he's still busy, chances are that he has completed it and left you unnoticed.:p

Okay I'll quit the jokes for now. The weather is too nice to be here at CFC anyway.

OK now I look outside my window and I hate you.

Same for me
The weather sucks here for over a week now...

Anyway, let's get back on topic
I'm sure Morholt will be back sooner or later
He would have told it if he is planning to totally abandon the project
