Rhye's Warlords bug reports

India has a Horse Archer spawn in it's borders. It is likely that all of the workers were lost to them.

I'm having a huge prob in which I can't play the game at all. While loading a Civ after 3000 into the game, at some point (usually after 30-40 turns) the game just freezes up and goes into the constant spinning wheel. I can move the mouse, but the game won't go anywhere. I read up on the mod download page that there's another person with this problem, so I'm not the only one. Thanks in advance for the help

bpreger,

There is some sort of a bug on new vanilla downloads. Rhye provided a patch, which you can find here: http://rhye.civfanatics.net/civ4/files/DLL195B.rar

Download it, decompress it, and replace the file in the mod with the same name.

There does seem to be another bug related to this patch: Unique historical victory conditions that depend on a certain year don't happen. I played as the egyptians and fulfilled both culture victory conditions. However, both still appeared as "not yet" after the dates had passed.

post a savegame earlier of that date

Okay, here's a save between the two dates for the Egyptians, one turn before the second culture check.

I found that the same problem happened with other civilizations when something is supposed to happen on a specific date.

Note: This is for 195, the vanilla version.

The Greece UP is not working for me. In the 195 version (vanilla or warlords), it was working when I had the oracle, but when I added specialist scientists, the modification disappeared. In other words, +6 with just the oracle (=2+200%), dropping to +5 with oracle plus a scientist (2+3).

I downloaded v196 for warlords, and I didn't get any bonus. Am I misunderstanding how it is supposed to work, or is this a bug?

Thanks!

ps. only recently started playing this mod and it's very addictive... :goodjob:

hey, what's up with the Turks not having the choice to raze any cities?

Rhye

can I just ask, if as say russia, persia, egypt, or basically any civ that could border the turks, is it possible to build a city near one of thiers AND get most/all of the land between the two cities due to superior culture? I am finding it hard working out exactly how much of a benifit thier UP gives, and do they just assimilate forieghn culture when they first build/conquor a city or all the way through the game?

please post the save that proves that

In the attached save for Alexander, I have Oracle + Parthenon, but I'm only getting 6 GP points.

I also started a game as China (attached), and I'm not getting the production boost for melee units.

These are both v196.

I assume there's a problem with my warlords installation? But I don't think I modified anything. For some other civs, I do get the correct UPs.

Thanks for the help!

I got a screen saying it had to close due to memory failure and said the reason was bad memory allocation. Except probably spelt better, by (more technical) brother said it ment that windows wasn't doing its job properly but I thought I would post it just in case, I got an autosave a few turns before if ya want it...

Whas it when you did save the game or it was autosaving itself?

thanks for the answer to my question :) does that mean that the Turks can NEVER raze a city even if controlled by the player, though? or is it just near their spawn?
