[R&F] Rise and Fall General Discussion Thread

Not seeing the point of the Copacabana addition. It's just a copy n' paste of the Street Carnival. On the surface it makes Brazil look unique by having two UI, but it's purely superficial. I'd get it if the Entertainment Complex and the Water Park were identical already, but haven't we heard this isn't the case?
In case you are not aware: you cannot build both Entertainment Complex and Water Park in the same city. Basically Copacabana ensures that Brazil doesn’t lose flexibility on amenity district placement in comparison with other civs.

In effect, the Water Park is basically just an Entertainment Complex that can only be built on Water, and it's mutually-exclusive with the Entertainment Complex. Since Brazil has a UD replacement for the EC, and a water variant of the EC has been added in addition to it, Brazil therefore gets a water variant of it's UD in addition to it, aka the Copacabana.

I really wish that you couldn't see loyalty of cities that you haven't discovered in the settler lense.

I guess I just can't help but find it strange that Firaxis would go to the length of making new district art when they could have just added a note at the end of the Street Carnival that says "These bonuses also apply to Water Parks".

Think of it like light pollution. You know something is over there by the "glow", but not what it is.

Or dangerous people keep raiding our lands from there so we avoid that area.

Or you can hear drums and see campfire smoke.

Very well, seventeen days.

So, we're lacking only Kumasi CS, right? If we already didn't knew the three Civs, I'd always like to speculate if the Ashanti Empire gets added or not :P

Btw. While not exactly happy with waiting for the clues till tomorrow, it also has a good side. I should be home before the First Look gets revealed on YouTube on Wednesday! :P

But of course from what's been leaked we can be reasonably certain that all the remaining leaders are male.
So that rules out Shakala then.

The porcupine icon was seen in last week's emergency livestream.

I thought Kumasi was already spotted in last week's livestream?

It's called "wanting to deliver a quality game".

I don't know if anyone stated this yet but I saw in Quill's Cree LP video that the Okihtcitaw (Cree's UU) does not get a bonus against anti-cav units. Which to me is a bit of a shame. Then again, I don't remember if scouts get a bonus against them at all.

It's not a melee class unit, it's a recon class unit. That's not surprising.

Am I the only one who doesn't like that city size is not displayed as big number left from city name anymore? Seeing huge large number was pretty satisfying but now it is kind of bland.

As someone who likes moderately large cities, I like seeing big numbers there. It's hard to get used to them not being there. On Quill's stream, I couldn't even tell what size his cities were.
