[R&F] Rise and Fall Live Stream General Thread

We now get a changed pop up that tells us when a city state is conquered. For example, India has conquered the Carthaginian capital of Carthage.

Does this possibly mean that a city state could have more than one city? I think that’d be neat if they could have a mini empire rather than razing any city they conquered.

As much as I disliked Civilization 5, I had a bit of fun growing a City State up to 4 cities one time. :P

Reading the tool-tips I see a possible distinction between what is allowed with regard to food markets and shopping malls. It says one fm per city, one sm per city, and one fm or sm per district. That in mind, it might be possible to get both if you have two neighborhoods.

Maybe not, English is weird after all, but that seems a more literal interpretation of the tool-tips. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't what Firaxis meant, though.

Does the aquatics center have a resort hotel in it or something? It seems sort of random for it to be boosting the wonder output of the city.

Edit: Boosts to wonder tourism is definitely welcome, as it's pretty weak overall, this just seems an odd way of doing it thematically

It seems that, Urr...none of them... are interesting... All of them cost too high while yield too little...

The Polar Station in particular seems like a huge amount of production, especially since the city you’re going to build it in is not exactly likely to be a production powerhouse.

This seems like the most logical reading to me, unless anyone's seen evidence to the contrary.

Neighborhood buildings are something I've been hoping to see for a while now, but that Food Market is very underwhelming. 3 food is an Ancient Era farm built on a grassland tile. At a stage in the game when a lot of food is needed to grow your population, 3 food isn't going to make a big enough impact to justify the production investment, in my humble opinion.

You need 1,620 prod, and campus, library, university, research lab, which is ~1,200 prod. That is the case-- How to get that much prod in a polar city, just to have a tiny boost in other cities?

Maybe useful for score victory.

The bonuses to movement and combat strength for the Members of an Emergency seem like gamey nonsense to me. The "Military Emergency" is a rubber-band mechanic, pure and simple.
Meh, you surely have to be really far ahead to have a chance to trigger this. Ages and emergencies just seem like ways to make things user-friendly with concrete goals.

Wow, that loyalty is a pretty huge nerf to early warmongering. Granted he was in a dark age, but even in the normal age, it's taking a while for the city to recover.

That's how I read it too. Each tooltip says you can only have one Food Market and one Shopping Mall per city. They also say that you can't have both a Food Market and a Shopping Mall in the same Neighborhood. But nowhere do I see anything that says you can't have both a Food Market and a Shopping Mall in the same city, but in two different Neighborhoods.

Nope, it says can only be built once per city regardless of number of Neighborhoods.
It says that each "Can only be built once in a city, even if the city has multiple Neighborhoods. Cannot be built in the same district with a Shopping Mall/Food Market". So if your city has two Neighborhoods, you should be able to build one of each.

One thing we're missing when we factor in these huge production costs:

Has anybody addressed in any of the streams how supply convoys work yet?

Ever tried to search something in civ 6? Our webpages are high hitters
A forum as a whole - yes. A particular CFC person that gets blessed with a copy - zero audience. Unless the person already has a following on other media platforms, but then he’ll just post the gameplay there. Also, your potential reply to this statement is where the second part of my previous comment kicks in. But I digress.

On topic: do we know any EC buildings now provide tourism? If no then Water Park seems strictly better as long as you have water, unless you want an occasional EC to stack the amenities.

They are medics, IIRC.

Poor people will have to drive all around the city just to run errands for a day. No wonder why traffic is so horrible around here. I blame the zoning commission.
