Rise of Mankind 2.9 feedback and bug reports

That's just silly... why do that, if the game has already been prepared to use a personal directory?

Because you should always install mods in the main Civ IV mod directory, where the default mods (such as Afterworld) can be found.

No. you precisely DON'T have to install them there.

You can ALSO install them in the My Games directory, where the alternate Mods folder is.

Rise of Mankind requires that it be installed in the Program Files directory. If you use RoM+AND though, you can use the My Documents directory as well.

So wait, who's right here? Should I re-install Civ outside of Program Files and then re-patch and mod it, or install RoM inside the My Documents/My Games directory? I'm confused.

It's good practice to install all your games outside Program Files as it is. It just so happens that Afforess' genius allows you play AND from your My Documents folder.

Well, I can say for a fact that moving the mod to my My Documents folder bore no fruit (it worked fine, but with still the same problems as last time), so I may try moving it outside of Program Files now.

@Supernaturalist, where did you get that Golden UI from? Try not using that once.

It's BlueMarble, it didn't affect my RoM9.2 on XP, so I don't think it's affecting it. I meant to re-install Civ earlier but didn't get around to it- I'll do it now.

Reinstalled outside the Program Files directory, all patches installed, RoM9.2 installed. Still not working. :@ *bangs head against desk*

First off, you are playing with No Revolutions off, right? The unit filter is an option in the Bug Settings (Ladybug icon). Look for "Draw Style" or something like that.

If all else fails, turn on error logging (see OP) and post your logs.

I feel like an idiot now. I thought it was on by default, but apparently not. Okay, that's sorted.

The unit filter is an option in the Bug Settings (Ladybug icon). Look for "Draw Style" or something like that.

This, however, IS on and it's not showing up on the screen.

Here is how to turn on the unit filter. Double check you did it right.

Ah, there we go! Thank you for all the help Afforess.

I'm going to feel a little rude asking for more help, but... ahem...

I'm missing the leaderheads for the default civs. I have the new civs and their leaders, but not the default ones (Hirohito, Joan of Arc, etc.)

I'm not sure what you mean by missing leaderheads. Can you show me a picture?

Of course. For example here, on civ + leader selection, I'm missing Joan of Arc. I have the new civs, such as the Iroquois, but the additions to the default civilisations are missing. :(

Did you alter how modules load? Where is Rise of Mankind installed to? (The whole directory, I know it's in the mods folder)
