Ok, people, one of these days its gonna happen... I'm gonna finally beat this cheesing-a$$, cheater deity AI. Once again, I've rolled what looks to be a fantastic.

Willem, Deity, Fractal, Standard Size, Normal Speed, no huts, no events

I move the settler 1S1E and see this:

Too bad the wheat isnt wet until civil service. Guess you can't have everything SIP kills a FP but moving 1NE loses a turn and a forest so not worth it. SIP also auto-irrigates the wheat as soon as CS is in.

Why do you consider this a miracle start? It is low food with only one gold in BFC. This is no quad gold, double wet corn start.

But I would settle 1N for the 3F city.

The miracle is that he didn't only get the cows, on the plains tile .

wow seems to me like some guys will whine about anything....

3 green hills, grass cow, yeah that wheat could have been wet from start, 2 flood plains...should be no problem to run size 7 with gold and some food surplus still.

Some of you should go immediately and fire up some of the last IU's posted by Habitus to get a bit back to earth...

Still emotionally unstirred by the present start. Give us some good plain cows start.

For sure Tachy, Pottery (Wheel)..BW...maybe Archery you never know..writing..
But mainly cos a 12 turns worker and 3f city tile makes this start so much faster.

You also have a much higher chance of gaining more grassland by settling on the Cow. Faster start with better tiles > killing a FP.

ya, I keep posting willem games wirh strong starts, because I still havent beaten deity yet. I came pretty close but some kind of surprise attack made me crumble and rage quit (e.g. monty conquering from the other continent)

this one is fairly easy as well, I believe... I've been able to settle 10+ cities peacefully and from the looks of things, I will probably be able to roll over my continent (3 opponents) and possible take a domination victory or a space race later

Play pangaea it is a lot easier to learn how to handle deity on. You will learn how to never be attacked again very quick.
