Sausage Feast 07'

You forget though, no matter what you put on a hotdog it'll still taste good. If you put half the stuff that you'd ussually put on a hotdog on a european sausage, it would taste awful.

Yes, that may well be true, but that is because the hot dog sausage is a "clean palette". There is no great flavour or character in it, whereas a european sausage is a masterpiece of cooking craft.

Would you paint over a Rembrandt? I think not.

[EDIT]
Bah! The swedish hot dogs beat everything.
So everyone knows the calibre of the gastronomical culture we scandinavians possess, here are two examples of swedish "blodkorv", which by Swedes is considered a delicacy trumping even their own vaunted "varm korv" (hot dogs).

I didn't of course want to bring Swedish sausages into this, since all competition would be instantly blown away.

I'd paint over a Rembrandt if it tasted better painted.

But you said that european sausages could not accept further flavour. This is because they are the Rembrandts. American sausages are more like empty blocks of drawing paper that you take home and then paint over with condiments.

You're telling me you'd pass up a tastey foot longhotdog on a pillowy bun with mustard and chilli spread on it? Putting those condiments on the hotdog makes it better than a Rembrant! Mmhm, I need a hotdog.

This is making me kind of hungry too :) No shops are open this time of night, so I think I'll be going to McDonalds to get me a burger and a shake

When I first opened this thread, I thought it was a proposal for a CFC meetup this year.

I know you are dryfully making a joke, but seriously, why isn't that we don't have a CFC OT meetup in United States? I sure would like to strangle some of the fellow posters in here personally.:mischief:

Whats country has the better sausage? America's delicious hotdog(mustard optional,) or Polands disgusting kielbasa?

(Mmhm just like mom used to make.)

Kielbasa

Most hot dogs are nasty. Kielbasa like the one presented wins.

I don't generally meet up with people who want to strangle me.

It says meat on the packaging, therefore its meat. At least I think it does, I haven't eaten sausages in ages.

Actually, a lot of the sausages in the supermarkets where I live have their contents listed as "Animal products comparable to meat"

(really, I'm not kidding :))
