Sausage Feast 07'

yeah if you drink bud wiser and cheap craghp like that, but America has hundreds of other beers that we brew, i can think of about 20 brewed within a 60mi radius of my home,

Blue moon
Aros trout
magic hat
Red oak

i don't include samuel addams in my list if you want to try good american beer you need to come to america, most companies don't have the abilaty to sell their beer in the whole western hemisphere, Thats like someone from italy eating at Mcdonalds and saying all hamburgers in America taste like that. Actualy there is a place in New york that sells the most expenseive hamburger, like 250$, with fries and a coke of course.

and we do have some pretty good cheese but the problem with artisan foods in America is the department of agriculture puts to many restrictions on preservatives, so to much of are food has additives in it. I hope one day these laws may be changed but unlikely.

Yeah, well, but those are microbreweries, I have heard that they are pretty good. In Europe there are also microbreweries, but on top of that there are also a lot of very good beers sold all over the world.

Reading Americans discussing quality sausage is almost as painful as reading Americans discussing quality cheese. You guys have no idea.

The best sausages, requiring the finest sausage making skills that subtly blend choice meats, vinegars, wines, herbs and spices are as follows (some have been mentioned already):

South African Boerewors
Spanish or Portuguese Chorizo
Indian Goa Sausage
Polish Kabanos
North African Merguez
Turkish Soujouk or Pastirma
Yap, yap...someone from the UK popping off about quality cuisine? Stop. I'll give you ales but you're out of your league here, bangers and mash boy. :D

It seems you've become an expert on American sausages.
Ever had a Sheyboygan brat?
El Paso or Tucson chorizo?
Chicago hot dog? The only real hot dog in the states btw.
Italian Sausage, wet, hot from Johnny's in Elmwood Park?

Pssh...how about you visit the states with your wildly overvalued Pounds and then pop off, Mister.

I don't, but It sounds german.

I have eaten something called chorizo in mexican restaurants and I have to say that it is not chorizo. Chorizo is a cured meat, and what it was given to me wasn't cured. It was good eats, though. I also have bought that thing in the supermarket and it is kept refrigerated, I call that thing mondongo, which is the mix of the minced meat and spices used to make chorizo but before being cured. Some varieties of chorizo take more than 3 months to be cured and it is stored at room temperature.

No, but I ate calamari. :D

Sounds italian. Does it has to be eaten at Elmwood Park?

Wisconsin is full of Germans. More beer, brats and brandy per capita iirc

I suppose you could find it in Jooosey but I have no experience there. I do know that the local bosses around Elmwood Park demand it or else....if you know what I mean. ;)
