Here's a difference though. Republicans don't go around pointing it out.

Gary Hart's presidential campaign got scuttled. Bill Clinton got impeached by a buch of Republican adulterers. We had threads on here about John Edards when it was still just a tabloid rumor. They thought it would tarnish Obama somehow, even though John McCain's very similar acts would have no negative implications.

THIS as in the never ending list of democrats who do this crap. Hannity did not help me with this though I heard he listed a bunch of them, I am looking them up and still finding them. Republicans are generally more likely to be guilty of hypocrisy in these circumstances than Democrats are.

Personally, I find those who are arguing either side just a tad bit funny. You do realize that you're arguing to prove that your "side" is only just slightly less wicked than the other.

What I like to do is look for a common denominator. In this case? They are all politicians who abused their power and the trust of the people who elected them.

However, (as stated by someone already) it is a little bit more funny (?/sad/) when it happens to someone who claims to be against that sort of thing. I wish I could try to be optimistic and claim that this is a good thing because it shows us the type of people they are. It lets us clean them out. In reality it shows me that it might have more to do with it just being the way people are.

I wish it would stop but it won't. It'll keep happening to Democrats and Republicans alike. There is a part of me that's interested in seeing a proper list though.

There were enough people talking about it in such ways that make what I said accurate. If you want examples then feel free to click the little numbers near the top of the thread.

If you'd like to use one example from the many myself and others posted (over 100) then feel free. However, sleeping with interns and other people in such positions is an abuse of certain kinds of power and trust. Most people expect the people they want to represent them to not act like this.
