Scenario Request Thread

Also, the 50 million South Koreans are perfectly capable of holding off the much smaller North Korea.

I'm not going to debate a right wing American on a video game message board but obviously the South Koreans can not defend against the North Korean military without the protection of the US. That's why we had the Korean war and that is why there are about 30,000 US troops still in the South. This would have to be a part of any realistic modern day scenario, as would the American occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Ok, So, here's one of my many Ideas:

Chinese Reclamation:
The Year is 2021, The People's Republic of China, over growing tension with Taiwan, the former Republic of China, begins bombing runs against Taiwan. The Taiwanese, in counter response send an invasion of the mainland. Each Rally allies as diplomacy fails in the Region. North Korea declares war against South Korea, PRC declares war against North Korea, Japan declares war on the Koreas, after a successful military Coup. The United Nations becomes useless in this situation, as the US, England, France, and Germany all send Peace keepers of their own in order to gain Political "Favors" within the region.

Civs:
US
England
France
Germany
PRC
Taiwan
North Korea
South Korea
Japan

FYI, ofcourse the US military are still present, mainly because there's an armistice (no peace has ever been signed after 1953, when the war ended). The Korean War involved not only North and South Korea, but the United Nations and the People's Republic of China. A UN force (consisting mainly - but not exclusively - of US military) pushed back the Northern invaders; only when they threatened to reach the Chinese border did China send in it's own forces resulting in the current demarcation line across the Korean peninsula.

BTW, I'm not a US citizen, but feel free not to debate on a message board.

What i want is a napoleonic scenario of just Europe and the surrounding area. Very detailed and the most important part, FOR BTS. I cant find any of these except on a world map

You must have missed the 2 Napoleonic Europe scenarios by Paasky and AlazkanAssassin then (DL Databasa/Civ4/Industrial Scenarios).;)

there both only for warlords

I would love to see a scenario about modern Israel going to war (perhaps bombing Iran nuclear facilities resulting in a total war of Israel vs. Arab World. I have many ideas to add on but I want to see if this gets anyone's interest first.

I am thinking about making a "Fall of Yugoslavia" scenario with a mod. If anyone has any ideas, please say them. The problematic issue about this scenario is the role of the UN: they were not in war with any of the sides, but still they engaged in combat and defended various provinces...

I'd like to see - and I believe the idea has been touted before - something on the lines of a Harry Turtledoves World War series, where the Confederacy gained independence after British and French support, and is effectively a WW1 (or WW2) scenario but set in North America

the map Concentrates on North America, though could perhaps be extended down to the Northern tip of South America

Nations
Union
Confederacy (includes Cuba as a captured colony, and Sonora and Chihuaha - which have either been bought from Mexico to finance the Empire, or seized by force (see below))
Canada
Quebec (Canadian vassal...but perhaps a bit disgruntled to represent the possibility of breaking away and allying with the Union)
British colonies (perhaps for gameplay purposes a Canadian vassal) - ie; Jamaica and West Indies, Bermuda, British Honduras, Bahamas and Sandwich Islands (Hawaii)
Mexico
Columbia
Haiti (a potential Union ally?)

Canada and the British colonies could perhaps be set-up as a team, or maybe easier to have them as one nation. For gameplay purposes, Britain (and France) are considered to be at war with Germany so Canada and the colonies are pretty much left to their own devices (although they'll be allied with the Confederates) - although they could perhaps start with a largish naval contingent, and could perhaps benefit from occassional new units that are spawned (perhaps a troop ship - with a small escort - appearing around the S/W or W of the map, to represent Anzac or Indian troops, or less often similar coming from the East to represent a British equivalent. On this last - if the Union develop tank tech and the Canadians do not have it present then perhaps after 10-20 turns a troop ship with a tank on board will appear - if it reaches port - will give a science boost to tank tech for the Canadians.

In terms of Mexico you could possibly have two alternatives
1) A Confederate dominated Mexican Empire (Emperor Maximillian managed to cling to power)
2) A neutral Republic, perhaps with designs on some of its lands that have been stripped from it

The way I see it this would give an additional two tiers of difficulty if playing as the Union/Confederacy ie; play as the Union with Mexico as a possible ally, or play as the Union and be even more isolated or play as the Confederates and have to keep an eye on your own Southern border, or play as the Rebs and perhaps get the Mexicans to help out.

Perhaps there could be spy missions that would enable swinging nations - ie; Quebec and Mexico

At game start a Union task force could perhaps be enroute to take the Sandwich Islands (a kind of anti-Pearl Harbour?!) although in a WW1 scenario it'd obviously be a more naval orientated.

I'm currently working on a "Death of Yugoslavia" scenario with Elf_killer as soon as I get some free time I'll start and then we can do some play testing then release it!

I'd like to see both the Ancient Greece AND Warring states scenarios from Warlords updated

Well, a pity then you're a modder who can't mod (?)!:crazyeye: Anyway, there is at least a Ancient Greece scenario in the works.

I would like to see a huge cold war mod with tons and tons of units. (i already know maxriga has a cold war one but i cant stand the map) anyone interested?

I want to see a scenario where all over the map there are mythic creatures, to win your civ has to destroy a certain number of of these monsters ( dracula, kraken, jack the ripper, lochness monster, frankenstein moby dick. Each civ gets a special unit called a great hero, this unit can make an army of troops and would be strong enough to kill the
monster.

It should be played on an eatrh map

I have both expansions

I've tried to make an Australian Federation scenario (1st in a series of them I'm hoping ;)), but can't figure out how to use the darn map editors. So if anyone out there can help, it'd be much appreciated.

The continent of Australia has several self-governing colonies and crown colonies. The player takes on the role of one of the colonies to unite as many of them as a Federation (convincing the colonies to become vassal states with a winning victory of 5/8 vassalised colonies. This could be achieved through infrastructure, promises and events). Economic and political (both international and domestic) will continually surface and put a spanner in the works. I was thinking of a start in 1885 and an end at the beginning of WW1. (Which could lead onto a second scenario following on from the first).

Also playable should be the native inhabitants and the other colonial powers at the time.

COLONIES:
Colony of Western Australia
Colony of South Australia and the Northern Territory of South Australia
Colony of Queensland
Colony of Victoria
Colony of New South Wales
Colony of Tasmania
Colony of New Zealand
Colony of Fiji

The native inhabitants could fight for their countries and drive the invaders off, for example, the Maoris need to gain 15% territory to gain their victory. This could be equivalent to maybe half of New Zealand or something.

NATIVES:
Aboriginals
Maoris
Polynesians
Indonesians
Papuans

And the other colonial powers are their to grab what they can.

OTHER COLONIAL POWERS:
Germany Colonies
Dutch Colonies
French Colonies

Plus maybe some native independents or barbarians or something or other like that for the not-so-major native inhabitants of other islands.

And if it's possible to remove some of the civic options and replace them with things that are more relevant to the scenario, that'd be cool too. For example:

Government Types:
Self-Governing Colony
Crown Colony
Commonwealth State (Available only to vassals)
Sovereign Nation
Independent Nation

Titles:
King/Queen (Independent Nation)
President (Independent Nation)
Prime Minister (Sovereign Nation, 5/8 federated colonies constitute a SN)
Premier (Commonwealth State and self-governing colonies)
Governor (Crown Colonies)

Also, there was a secession movement underway in case Western Australia didn't join the Federation. A new colony would have emerged known as Auralia. So it would be nice to have that pop up if it's possible to do through an event.

Special tech tree.... tri-annual elections, constitutional referendums.

Let me know what ya'll think. ^_^

A Septimus Heap-based scenario would be just awesome ;)

Heh, about that, I can mod but the problem is I can never figure out why I have all these errors, I need help with my Scenarios/mods.

On Topic: I'd like to see a Medieval Scenario.

A little bit more info would help. (When making a scenario, starting with a working WBS, I usually check after any change I make if it still loads/works fine - it helps isolating any errors I might make.)
