Sup guys, can you get me a Cold War scenario on Huge Earth map, with no mods?
Please. Many tanks![]()
How about a formation of Rome type scenario, perhaps using some of the modding done for RFC... historical events, etc...
I envision it on a HUGE Europe map, including the Med & N. Africa, and the Near East...
This would be similar to Total War: Rome, having the 3 major houses (Julii, Brutii, Scipii) of the ancient empire starting, with a senate in Rome, etc. At some point, the houses go into conflict, etc...
But, this should not limit you to being Rome, though Rome's superior military and techonology would make winning with a Roman faction much easier.
Civs:
Greek States
House of Brutii
House of Julii
House of Scipii
Carthage
Gauls
Macedons
Germanic Tribe
Britainic
Sassanids/Parthia (may be screwed up here historically, but whoever was in charge of Persia)
Hellenstic state of the Near East (Seuclids, etc)
Thracians
Scythians
Armenians
The Ponte (Turkey, may be screwed up here too)
Egypt
I would be happy to help out by creating fully flavored civs to add, though as far as the scenario goes, I wouldn't even know where to begin.
Anyone interested in spearheading this?
Does this already exist? (Not including Rome Total War of course!)
Yeah, it is basically that... but the infrastructure/civ building is lacking in TW... though the combat side is intense and great!
Ideally, I would like to see Civ5 add many of the aspects of the TW series, and maybe a bit from EU also (like discovering new lands and attrition for navies, etc).
aye it is.
that would be nice, but not quite civ. ;P EU?....![]()
EU = Europa Universalis
It has some nice functions in it, but is inferior overall to both Civ and TW series. The nice functions are, as mentioned above, attrition for naval units... which means, you can't just leave a ship out on the seas without pulling into a friendly port every so often...
They also have an interesting system for trade, where your merchants compete with others in the several "financial centers" of the world, which change as the map does... example, mediterranean trade becomes less powerful after the New World starts taking off, and markets in the New World start to appear.
I think that it would be interesting to have a scenario/ mod that is kind of like a virus or something attacking a body. you can use different virus like Influenza and Tuberculosis and you can play either the, attacking the body or the body defending against the viruses.
the cities could be organs, and there would be a system like in Planetfall called "Human awareness" and if it gets to a certain point anti-virus units would appear, and other things like that.
What do you guys think?
An Alternate History/Science Ficton book dealing with a no Muslim world(Muhhammad converted to Christianity on a trading trip to Syria, later joined a monestary, and composed great hymns, eventually becoming the Cardnial of New Carthage, and a saint), and how the Byzantine Empire(They call themselves Roman, as we all know they did), flurished, and was ale to reconquer Hispania, Southern France from the Franks, and Italy.
Thus, their only rival is really Persia, and China. The Franks are powerful also, but not too. The Anglo-Saxon England, since there was no Norman Conquest, is a sometimes ally of Byzantium.

I'm not sure what to do about India, Japan, Korea, ect. seeing as it's set in the 1300s (1305, to be exact) Perhps just go with their real history, just without any Islamic influences or civlizations? Enlarged Europe Map would be perfect.
