maybe its in the ancient era for this reason, maybe it has the ability to group with a unit (settler, military) and cross ocean tiles for that sweet sweet early colonization feeling. I really hope so, that along with a strong base strength would make the Norway amazing, perhaps first choice amazing.

I hope they get a good trade/economy bonus im really excited for Norway.

That would be a very interesting mechanic, and certainly make for some unique strategies for Norway.

Maybe not only for that sweet sweet colonization feeling but for the that sweet sweet pillaging feeling also. :goodjob:

I have almost sure that this Norway will be focused in war, invasion and plunder...
Well, civ V's Denmark was very similar to that, and since Civ VI is taking unique approaches to each civ, we probably wont see too much overlap between the two.

well, being able to cross oceans before anyone else means that you can pillage freely without fear of retaliation, lets hope thats what the longship is for.:D

exacty, and after Civ V Denmark being fun to play but mostley bad overall im hoping we can get a Fun and strong Viking/Norway.

It would be nice if, rather than a naval unit, the Longship was a special embarked state of other land units.

I'd prefer that. The UU could be a Raider or somesuch that embarks into a Longship model with unique properties (instant embark/disembark or the ability to cross ocean tiles or even the ability to "dock" at the mouth of a river and choose to disembark somewhere down its length).

The fact that it is a unit, unlikely.

BUT,

It would be fun if the Longship allowed units to be attached to it and bypass the Ocean crossing early on for embarked units attached to longship.

I imagine they will get some bonus when pillaging Harbors and a combat bonus vs cities.

Don't think anyone has posted this:

Mt Everest is the new Mt Kilimandjaro.

It's interesting that there are also "Inquisitor" units, since Apostles have the ability to launch inquisitions. Either they are trained at the 3rd Holy Site building (Cathedral, Mosque, etc.) or... is it possible that "Inquisitors" are the unique Spanish unit???

EDIT: I guess we know Conquistadors are already a Spanish UU, but it could be that it has 2. Definitely could be part of Philip II's ability.

Something I assumed due to visuals but I'm not certain was ever 100% confirmed:

It looks like roads are automatically placed in district tiles. I feel this is a fairly significant thing since enemy units can use your roads now.

That seems like a distinct possibility.
