SGOTM 02 - Team CFR

The next question: Do we need to switch on Bureaucracy or Vassalage if Feudalism will be avalable?
It looks like we can reach Astro fast enough so< do we need more cities? Every city increases maintenance end limited time for 100% science... I think, if we will fully prepare several high production cities it will be better then more average ones.
Do we need Slavery ASAP? What will we accelerate?

About my session:
I think you don't need per turn report, the save is better ther many words.
Bismark reaearched Compass, so I used it for trading. Also I got some money from AI. Musa still have enough gold, but it is appeared after trading session.
Yes, we have not enough Workers... so I don't improved Barca and Concentrating on more perspective cities. Next player can decide, what target is Chopping Forest in Cordoba: Courthouse or Worker. Seville will be good city so I prefer it in comparing with Barca.
If we will use Bureaucracy we need higher pop in Osaka, so, may be we need remove citizen from Gold to Oasis...

I think we don't need Swords. We have a few cities now who can start Military (all other building are ready). It's better it will be Cats. And, just after CS we can start Samurais.

The next question: Do we need to switch on Bureaucracy or Vassalage if Feudalism will be avalable?
These days I tend to like vassalage more. :mischief: We don't have time to spread religion, so Theocracy won't be very usefull, and we need that second promotion IMHO.

Yea, I think its too late to build cities already.

Do we need Slavery ASAP? What will we accelerate?
I think we do need it ASAP. Just accelerate stuff we build normally: finish granries/forges/lighthouses/courts, then build units. We have cities that are low on hammers, but can grow quickly (especially formaer Spanish cities), slavery is essential to make them productive. Also Kyoto can start stacking catapults under slavery/HR...

We should switch to Astronomy once we have 1 turn left untill CS and finish it only after we use our GS.
I'd switch sooner to get it ASAP and start Galleons. By waiting for CS till 1 turn left we're postponing Astro by 6-7 turns. We can calculate the effect of GS exactly (2250 + 4.5*total_pop), we know when to stop researching it and switch back to CS so that we finish Astro after GS in 1 turn.

Yes, we must synchronize research Astro like Lexad said, because Astro also will gain our trade routes and so on. So, CB could start Astro at 100% and Obormot will adjust researchig as needed for optimal result.
Now we have city-growth stage... May be we need force Artist in Satsuma for speed up borders expanding.

OK, maybe you are right. I didn't think about trade routes and resources. So it is 100% Astro now (and BTW we should also switch Kyoto's merchants to scientists for now), then CS. All cities finish forges/granaries/lighthouses/courthouses (perhaps courthouses not everywhere?), cities that have all that stuff build units.

The only question for now is what to do with Madrid? I like the GP farm under slavery idea to get 2 more GPs for a Golden Age. For now we can just hire scientists under CS to accelerate research. Or maybe use it as a worker factory?

Second the idea

I've got out of team. That is enough for me.

uhu. Then Obormot and Dynamic go to vacation and only us 3 noobs left :(

@CB: What do you mean? Just in case there was some misunderstanding, I didn't mean to offend anybody. I hope you'll take your words back and play. :)

2 GP - too much time. I think Madrid should build several workers, but not as Factory, then Military. And, of couse, help with research/money when need. But, because CS will be over after next GS, its help will be limited. And, Madrid can produce Galleons with high rate... at the beginning. So, I think we must build Workers now then units, but not reach 12 limit (reserve for pop-rushing).

Cat Begemoth: Sorry.

I don't get you either, CB. Nobody does any personal attacks here! And it sure didn't come across like that to me. I think Obormot did the right thing in stressing one more time the single most important point of our GP research strategy. Nothing more nothing less.

And also, we agreed with Dynamic that Obormot was wrong ;)

I also find nothing personal here, you yourself said last time you didn't notice some note cause it was 4 pages earlier.

I posted that note just because I almost forgot about it myself  and I wanted to be sure that we don't ruin our game because of a stupid mistake (that anyone can make). I can play tomorrow evening, but I hope that CB will take it before that time.

I think that the reminder is absolutely necessary, is better once again to be convinced that everyone understand each other truly.
CB: I hope for your returning!

Explain as the probability of a victory over fight is influenced samurai 2 first strike?

How many will cost upgrade of swords to samurais?

EDIT: SGOTM page of progress does not work correctly? Or it only at me...

No special comments. Just I don't enjoy by this game. Hope you'll win in any case. Even not hope but almost sure. :)

So, our list for now:

Dynamic - just played
Obormot - UP
akots - skip
Balbes - preparing
Lexad -
IL2T -

Sorry, I don't know exactly, need to check it...
Progress page works fine, but Dynamit's Power is not fully indicated...
