[BTS] SGOTM 25 - Home Slices

I thought we'd have all -50% spies by now, but we only have 4. We probably coulda done better on spy usage.
For example, one time I did all -30% and the last one 0% IIRC.
I coulda done the last 3 at 10% and saved more -50's.
Although I did only have about 100 EPs leftover.

I'm gonna do some calcs and try to make better use of the 40% and 50% spies.
No sense using 30's that will be 50's on T73

it didn't cross my mind (til now) to go for some of those barb cities. (There's another one north of Lyons)
Probably too late now. We'd just lose power, but attacking on t73 after capitulations wouldn't hurt.
Not sure we have any reasonable army in position for this.

Gonna gift Korea Hamburg, York and I'll throw in New York too. That way England can't target it. I won't retake it until T72...or even 73, right? He'll CF just based on recapture of York and Hamburg.

Everything looks good. :)

We got Hamburg and York back, so we just need to Cease Fire Korea T72, Gift Korea Gold City, DOW Korea, move towards New York, drop off units next to Korea capital.
Then on T73, do Spy missions in Gold City, capture Gold City, capture New York, capture korean capital, capitulate England, and finally capitulate USA.
Crank up :culture: slider to 100% if possible.
T74 WIN

I see the 2 barb Longbows are still trying to cause trouble.
Don't let them capture that 4 pop city
Spoiler :

culture graph dropped back down to stealth level, but I think the cat is out of the bag.

Anyone who sees that is gonna think ¿WTH?

England will talk but they're doing fine on their own. (no surprise)

From the T71 Demo screen:
Spoiler :
Current math says the World's Average Power is 107,333*3+542,000 = 864,000/4 = 216,000 Soldiers
England will capitulate when World Average Power is at 160,000*1.4 = 224,000 Soldiers or higher.

Once Korea is dead, World Average Power will change to 864,000 - 56,000 = 808,000/3 = 269,333 Soldiers.
England will still capitulate when World Average Power is at 224,000 Soldiers or higher.
Since it is, they will submit.

T71 Real Game Screenshots
Spoiler :

We have 35 Workers /flex
Also, 25 out of our 54 Spies have died.

I'm going to run 10% research or some scientists to get Compass. I'd hate to realize we want to win early and don't have those points.
Actually, we always have to wait a turn to get victory once we trigger it, so at the end of this turn, once we're sure we're not going to trigger a T72 win, I can set it back to 0%. Saves a few coins and we can get Compass later.

On the few turns we did own GoldCity I was building wealth and running a citizen. Small mistake.
Should have been building culture and working cows. Although, we were worried about our gold supply back then.
Yanan and Bejing will also build culture after their wonders.
Details, details. Could be enough to get one more point.

Approval Rating:
WK is the rival best, which means that we have a 59% and roughly a 62%. We should be fine there with a bit of culture slider. Difference between #1 and #3 is 3pts. Churchill adopting HR is not good here, but it doesn't really matter. He doesn't seem to have any happy resources.

Edit: What is the rule on running up the culture slider on the victory turn?

Exports/Imports:
I don't see how we can get this.

How many spy missions do we have on T73? I don't know how much they are costing now. We can do a quick calc to see if we're gonna be close to a threshold for another point or not.

We can't use the slider on T74.
Or do a single thing except upload.

But if we go 100% on T73, we can turn the game in T74 with 100% slider.
That is my understanding.

We have 5 scheduled, but since we are using Korea who will adopt Taoism, it might be 4 missions.
That would be 75 or 76 points, more than enough to win.

We cannot afford too many military losses the next 2 turns.

1 naturally produced Redcoat reduces our 45,000 Soldier cushion by 19,600 Soldiers, and losing maces would narrow it 9000 Soldiers each.
We lose 1000 Soldiers with every 2 population whipped away too.

Chichen, etching compass, and that HA build will help.
There should be no problems.

Further, once USA is a vassal, we can give metal casting, construction, compass, horseback riding, machinery, alphabet, and math to him to instantly push world average power up 13,300 more soldiers, making England surely capitulate.

I understand a ban on non-reversible actions, but I'm not sure how they could even check for reversible ones. That said, I think your interpretation is probably right. We should therefore make sure we have the gold to fund enough culture slider for #1 in approval rating on the last turn. We could maybe use all of our slider points on the last turn, rather than now. Unless we need the border pops for chops or something.

That's what I thought. With either 4 missions or 5 missions we are well off from reaching an extra point. I'm guessing we would need close to 750:culture: extra from slider and culture builds to make them worthwhile.

Edit:
No, it's less than 750:
Yan'an = 1,355 at current pace + GT next turn
Beijing = 746 at current pace + Chichen next turn
4 missions = 111,630 in Gold City + 1,355 + 746 = 113,731 / 114,000 (76pts) = 269 short
5 missions = 117,211 in Gold City + 1,355 + 746 = 119,312 / 120,000 (80pts) = 688 short
