And I thought trying to help another civ build the UN and timing that out to our advantage was a tough problem.....AlanH said:I agree. CPT/turn? The second order differential was always somewhere near the edge of my calculus comfort zone

I'm not sure I ever fully knew what I was doing!AlanH said:It looks to me as though, whatever else we achieve in this game, and barring disasters, we'll cross the line on the highest CPT run rate of all the teams. A lot of teams are running at 2K cpt towards the top of the range, but we are running close to that already, and at a higher rate than any were at 40K. We have the sharpest 'knee' on the graph, now we just have to keep doing what we're doing.

What I am re-learning is that planning ahead is key to completing the game with a win. What I have yet to learn is how to account for all the variables that will come into play in the planning process, especially in this type of game in which I have no experience.
You're right that this is a huge calculus problem in that, as we push the pop-rushing, there is a diminishing cultural return in relation to the input ofd resources required. It seems more efficient to become, in a way, less efficient

So, I sit here wrestling with the problem and unsure of how to answer it.....

Babbling on and on....

At least it is good for the spam count!!
