Should we break away?

Should the NES sub-forum move?

Stay here and link (which I was the first to suggest :smug:)!

Chieftess is on everyones side, she's cool:D

And We should have a link under Civ3 stories, another under
Civ4 stories, and another under Games.

And the stumble factor is big. i stumbled in here, and youguys sucked me in fromt he demogame, for like 2 months:eek:

Good grief, another moving thread. It's a bad idea to leave Civfanatics. Even if some of you would leave, I'd stay here, and so would many others.

I'm not against linking to Civ4 S&T, however.

I really don't see reason why we should move out of CFC, our starting ground. Rather, I'm in favour of either moving into Civ IV Stories & Tales as a sub-forum there or linking into there. Links into World History and All Other Games could also be considered.

NESing has nothing to do with Civ3

In the past it did, but not so much anymore, true.

Moving a forum doesn't work. We already tried it. It dies.

About links alla round the CFC forums.. well ask the Moderators.. It's them who will do the work...

Me too, I have this on favorites and I do enjoy looking at Off Topic and posting at rare times :D

Have you noticed that the supporters for a whole new forum are relatively new nesers? Not being elitist of course...

I suppose we could move to civ4

link to civ4 s&t could be possible, otherwise we are good as it is.

I didn't mean leave CFC for good. Just create another forum like the Civ3 Forum or Civ4. Linking in Other Games and Civ4 would be agood idea. But like they said, the mods might kill us...

I suppose I should post the reply that Thunderfall gave me, in a pm, the last time that the linking was suggested.

I don't think it's a good idea to advertise forum with forum link. In fact, I have removed the forum link to Civfanatics main page as it's not needed anymore since we have the navigation links at the top of the forum.

Why must you turn this thread into a HOUSE OF LIES?

We really don't need a split in this community.

Moving to Civ4S&T is the most I'd be willing to do.

But Civ3 is filled with the dedicated people, not those who post gamelogs occasionally with no plot other than:

OMFG!!! What horrible luck on that defense roll! Reload! Reload!!!

I mean, in Civ3 there are more written stories, which are the sort of people who we want NESing.

Coinich, Vanadorn, and some others.

I was actually writing several stories before NESing, if any of you read them.

First: We should be happy here. Such an unknown game as NESing can not survive without a big brother. Maybe one day, when we have finally spread our tentacles of doom from one forum to the other, we can think about the founding of the Nesing heaven.

Second: There IS a connection between civ and nesing. Although most of us most likely dont care about it, civ and NEsing are still in the same genere: Empire building.

Third: IMO linking or moving to civ4 is the only usefull idea. Either that, or leave it here.

EDIT: However Lord Iggy has made a good point. I dont realy care about the civ4 forums, but I can guess there are more "newbs" out there then here in civ3, where everybody had enough time to understand the mysterys of a internet forum.

If we need new blood, we could just go out into the street, kill somebody and drink his with a straw. As for new NESers, they will get here by themselves anyway - always did, always will. I say this as a proud elitist - we must NOT go for quantity of players here, we should go for quality, and various efforts to drag in as many people as possible will not give us that.

A straw? Honestly, we could just relocate to a blood bank.

Seriously though, we don't really need an influx of illiterate newbies I agree, but having more experienced, dedicated players always helps. But the patterns show that people trickle in anyways, I guess.
