Sid variant

820ad: rush something; set cities to build more workers;

IT: France and Persia sign peace; Greece asks for MPP

830AD: rush some buildings; declare war on Rome and land Cav Army

IT: Persia and Rome have signed a trade embargo against us; Roman horseman and archer attacks our cav army! Army wins but what forced them to attack just with two units? There were dozens horses and archers running around; spice deal ends with Russians

840AD: renew spice deal; rush something as we have much money; more landings in Rome

IT: Sumerian caravel near our borders; two more Roman archers impale on our cav army; many Roman units wandering around, slowing our attack a bit

850AD: play a bit with some elites at Rome and get a leader, one more cav army of course after we will capture first city in Rome; lose Frigate and Galleon to Sumerian Caravel;

IT: nothing

860AD: prepare units to attack Roman city Veii next turn; start palace prebuild for ToE

IT: Persia and Sumeria sign peace; few Roman units attacks our full health cav army and lose

870AD: kill 18 units in Veii and capture it; form 2nd 3cav army; kill two Sumerian caravels but lose a frigate

IT: America and Sumeria sign peace; like 80 units, mainly horsemen and archers approach Veii; 14 horses and 10 archers attack Veii, we lose 4 muskets but hold the town

880AD: WW is at 30% so early and there are too many units to handle in Rome so sign peace. They are also attacking our full health cav armies!!; sell buildings and abandon size 1 Toxicity and Lost in Hollywood -> corruption gets a little better

IT: Germans declared war on Americans

890AD: moving forces back to home continent

IT: nothing

900AD: kill Sumerian caravel

IT: Japan and Sumeria sign peace; Electricity -> Scientific Method in 6

910AD: nothing

IT:GA ends

920AD: played galleons unmoved as we need to decide what to do next

Played very sloppy. Pointless war vs Rome, obviously didn't underestimate how many units Rome will have. 4 city civ and ~ 100 units running around! Must have upgraded muskets to rifles before attacking and brought more units.

Also surprised "strange" AI behavior - they are attacking full health Cav Armies.

So what should we do next? Attack something or keep researching peacefully and go for diplo or space victory? Lux deal with Greece ends in 7 turns so we might wipe them out. Or attack Sumeria? France might might become a concern, they have 30 cities and in Democracy they might become very powerful runaway civ.

We are producing ~1100 bpt but it should increase nicely after our metros grow or some workers are joined.

got it, I wait for some more input, but I would wipe out Greece for sure and maybe go after another Civ. But with hordes of units, this can be really cumbersome.

Why Sci method, not Rep Parts? This will force us to prebuild ToE now.
At war with Rome better to raze City and replace later.
Or, may be even withdraw troops and send to Sumeria. With french help we probably have more chanses there.

save

Pre-Turn
odd number of turns and the turn is not finished...
sink the Sumer caravel with hwachas

IT Sumer and France sign peace

1.930AD
I get France back into the fight, they have fascism and hopefully revolt
use ironclads for that, Sell it to Germany as well
land army next to Hamadan, French are there as well

found another city where there is still space
upgrade a bunch of muskets

2.940AD
attack with army, but wait to let the French attack

3.950AD
take Hamadan, leave it standing for the time being, we need a settler to replace it
then programme crashes....didn't have that for ages..good time for a break

4. 960AD
shipping units is slow business...

5.970AD
drop army + 4 cavs in Sumer land on a mountain

IT Persia and Greece sign MPP, so we need to be aware of that later on
we gt sci methods
Grece declares on America due to MPP with Persia

6.980AD
RP will take 10 turns, but toE only 9 turns, well, we can always switch to palace for a turn
defeat a few pikes and raze Umma on the mainland
drop more units on the mountain
MM and get ToE and RP in 10 turns each

7.990AD
a lot of payments run out and instead of making around 1800gpt, we are now negative
sell clads to Persia for 57gpt (all they have)
sell clads and free artistry to Russia for 210gpt 9all they have)
sell democracy to America for 114gpt (all they have)
we could sell France a tech for 320gpt...leave it for discussion

defeat Sumer settler pair and expose rifles on mountains, let's see whether they get attacked
drop a settler on the mountain as well

IT Rome gets dragged into the war against Sumer by France
America then gets dragged in by Rome

8. 1000AD
Sumer is not interested in our rifles, I think we are good to settle there
bring settler into position, advance army next to Sumer including a few cavalry

9. 1010AD
found Cape Ivory as this city will give us ivory
take Sumer after taking out 2 muskets and 1 pike, lose 2 cavalry though
need only 4 cavs to take out 3 pikes and take bad-tibira, retreating 1 cav

Sumer and bad- tibira have high flip risk of course, but we do not need to station units in there if we play smart
unload a bunch of stuff into the new town and including a settler

10. 1020AD
Sumer seems totally gassed as there isn't any response from them at all
Since we still have a 11 turn alliance with France to take out Sumer, we should really try our best here

Sumer doesn't have saltpeter any more so we face pikes and maybe a few left-over muskets

ToE and RP come in 6 turns, I guess we chose AT and elctronics

Replace bad-tibiria to get within reach of the Sumer capital, attack and take out 2 pikes with army
use 5 more cavs to take out 2 pikes and 2 maces, lose 1 cav but we take the capital as well

Though I rushed some stuff, we still have a ton of money for factories and stuff. We can potentially sell electricity to France for 330gpt + 580gold

Got it. Now time to decide do we want diplo or space? Or we change our mind and go to domimation? Why replace Sumerian Cities? May be simpler to kill them all?

If you are fast, you don't need to get rid of the Sumer cities, that's correct. Flips risk is actually bearable.

I don' really fancy UN and space, domination is tedious but sounds better.

Sure, "maximum fan" is strongest argument. Game looks nice, so let it be longer. Let's assume that we are going to space, but it is OK, if we manage domination before.

This SG is dead or something else? I can swap with Larkin if he has no time to play.. If he won't post in 24 hours i will play

well, the game is down to three of us and if Ivan doesn't play, you should go ahead. The game is in a nice phase where we can take out yet another AI. It's actually fun and we are in a splendid situation on Sid level

I am alive, have tred hard to finish sgtom43. Always had an impression that I am on steam rol. Submited unfinished 1260 AD as a result.

I played 2 turns here, and may finish tomorrow if you agree to wait 24 hours.
Forgive me, please.
Ivan

Played 4.5 turns, but have no time today more. Trade Industrialisation from French for electricity.
Edit
I expected that Ignas continue from this save. However I may continue myself tomorrow.
(will have time 12 hours from now).

Playing now, may be 2 hours or so.
That's all I manage to do today.

are you playing your full ten as it isn't really clear. the turn logs are also a little...err..short

are you playing your full ten as it isn't really clear. the turn logs are also a little...err..short
Err... Real life. Nothing special, just traffic jam & stuff. Not sure that next 5 turns can be done in next 3 days. Probably 1 more turn I can do today. If Ignas take this, it will be OK, if he want to wait I will continue.

I will take it and will play 10 turns tomorrow
Thanks, Ignas. Do you need turnlog? Really, nothing, but watching ToE+RP sinchronization... + shipping. Note that Persia may destroy America soon.

ok, great, then I can play some tomorrow....

Stopped playing after 8 turns as i am pretty occupied this week. ToE finished, Sumeria destroyed, "EA" did. Didn't renew incense deal with France.

1070AD: notice the turn is not finished; also ship names confuses me;empty captured Sumerian cities and set them to starve ( less pop = less flip chances); notice we have a bit of gold left (24000), rush some stuff; finish turn and press enter

IT: many French, Sumerian units moving around; Rep Parts-> Atomic Theory; we complete ToE in What?, AT->Electronics->Corporation (due in 6 after some scientists will be assigned)

1080AD: some cities starved last turn in Sumeria, reassign them to starve again by signing many scientists (by doing this Corporation will be learned in 6turns); ship chain 9 workers (3 railroading crews) to Sumeria for faster railroading there; oh BTW we have 2 sources of rubber; rush Coal Plant in capital for faster Hoover building; capture Thebes (9 resistors) with no loss; upgrade some units to infantry and artillery

IT: Japan and Persia signs MA vs America; Greece and France signs MA vs Sumeria;lose 1 cav to Sumerian attack; quell 4 resistors in Thebes; Flint Valley Coal Plant-> Hoover Dam due in 13

1090AD: rush some cheap libraries in former Sumeria for cultural expansions; position troops to attack Memphis next turn

IT: many defensive Sumerian units running around; resistance in Thebes and Sumer ends; France loses some cavs vs Sumerian pikemen on hills; Kish flips to Sumeria :D

1100AD: take Memphis without loses; retake Kish; move units towards Alexandria;

IT: Persia and America have signed peace leaving America with 1 town; Persia and Greece sign MA vs Sumeria; pollution strikes osme of our cities

1110AD: kill 5 pikes in Alexandria and take it without losses; approach last Sumerian city; clear pollution

IT: Germany and Persia sign MPP;

1120AD: do a so called "Emsworths Agreement", kill Sumerians and we are now getting ~ 3000gpt from other civs;ship chain units

IT: Greece and America sign peace;

1130AD: nothing important

IT: The Corporation->Steel in 8; our people want to build Iron Works somewhere;

1140AD: score increases 43 points per turn; France has Rep Parts

IT: incense deal with France ends, don't renew it

1150AD: finish turn and stop

I suggest declaring war on France in a few turns after some borders in Ex-Sumeria expands and few more tiles are railroaded. There are few reasons: 1) sooner or later France will attack us. They are furious and have many units running around with nothing to do. The difference is that we are now ready with most of our forces on their continent and not occupied on other fronts; 2)France is almost aas big in size and pop as we are and if left unchecked it can become a very powerful possible runaway civ;3)we could claim one more lux - the incense;4)former Sumerian cities might flip to France. What do you think?

There are ~40arties, ~25infantries and ~30cavs in ex-sumeria. Rush more units with gold. France has RP and can build infantry. We are weak vs them according to military advisor,of course France will throw many units at us but we should make it.

France has 3 sources of rubber in their small islands: under New Avignon, under New Paris and near Brest. A galleon filled with 4 infantries is on it's way to Brest to pillage one of rubber sources.
