SINES 2005: Age of Conflict

To SFJP
From United States of America

We remind you that NATO agreed to RESOLUTION IV, which is the defence of EVERY democratic nation on earth, if requested. Greece has formally requested our help, we are now voting on wether to intervene.

In the meantime Secretary of State, Madeline Albright shall be travelling to Moscow to confer with the Russian President on this very important matter.

In the end however Yugoslavia is in the wrong and thus we shall prevent the destruction of the Kingdom of Greece even if it means worsened relations with the Russian Federation.

President Al Gore

(SHEEP!!!! There is no Russian President, nor is there a Russian Federation. Only the Russian Regent and the Russian Democratic Empire)

From: SFJP
To: USA

Why is Yugoslavia "wrong"? Did you even try to TALK with the Yugoslavians to try to get them to sign peace with Greece? They, I am sure, did not attack Greece for no reason at all. They should be asked as to what their reason was.

TO SFJP
From USA

We are in talks with the Yugoslavians at the very moment about this issue. At the moment we see not justifiable means for their invasion.

ooc: Russian Federation, Russian Democratic Empire, Communist Empire of Russia, Nationalist Empire of Russia, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, its ALL THE SAME ALRIGHT, you STILL SPEAK RUSSIAN, you still LIVE IN A ICY WORLD THAT FREEZES MY NUTS OFF JUST THINKING ABOUT IT. Alright?

From: SFJP
To: Kingdom of Greece, Federation of Yugoslavia

I believe that the 21st century should be turned into a century of peace and stability. The 20th century certainly wasn't, and I don't want it to simply extend into a new one. I hope you also do not want another Verdun, another Minsk, another Cologne.

I offer my service in intermediating peace between your two nations.

OOC: Still, I created that world and thinking that they have a President and a Federation is a personal insult to me. ;)

Stats for North America and France have been done. I still need to do Asia and Africa.
Eastern Europe has been partially done but I need to calculate casulties and increase or decrease a few things.

Reaction from yugoslav predident when reading this:
OMG!!?!!1?!WTH!!11??!WHAHT DA HELLS!!! LOLZ!!! NATOz werld $heriif yehav blam bang , NETO druink wit p0werZ LOLOL!!11!!1

Up until this moment we have had nothing but cordial relations and we indeed hope that these shall return, however your unprovoked and unwarranted invasion of the democratic Greek Kingdom is unreasonable and thus we have ordered the US 2nd Fleet to blockade your nation.
Untilz now we haed liek kewl und peicful rilations and we hoep to kiep it taht wey,but yar inv0sion of Geerec Kongdom is tottaly without da g00d raeson so wesa orderz ouir flets to send big shipz to blockz yor notion.

You have no right to meddle in our affairs, for your information the Greece has intended to invade Yugoslavia during a transition that would weaken her to an extent that Greece would invade. We also have information that they might have been planing to overthrow our government to a Greece puppet government during the transition(that will soon take place)due to instability in our nation caused by the transition to another form of government. We also suspect that they have teamed up with someone to assault Yugoslavia. So all in all we simply made a pre-emptive strike.

To SFJP
We are not russian ally(or are we  ) so your concern for a world war is not needed.

From: Kingdom of Greece

What?!?! Pre-emptive strike? We were not contermplating any military ventures for at least five years or more, and then not in Yugoslavia: it's an easy place for a guerilla resistance, and we don't want to get our hands dirty with your politics anyway. Where does your information come from? We recommend that you examine your intelligence agency's informants, it might have been them who wanted war, not Greece.

Sense and practicality dictated that we not go into Yugoslavia, and we would have stayed that way, until the UNPROVOKED and RUTHLESS attacks on our country. You tried to destroy our economy, according to the update! It is abominable that war is made on a country rather than its military. Have you learned nothing of the past century and the horrors of the World Wars and the Two Years' War?

To: SFJP
From: Kingdom of Greece

We, too, did not wish to see war in this century. However, we were attacked, and we will not stop until all of Greece is safely under their countrymen's leadership. If you can secure this by negotiations, do so. We don't want to fight unless Greek lives are at risk.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF CANADA

Given the sudden, random, and totally unprovoked attack and invasion of Greece by the Yugoslavian Federation, Canada is taking the following actions.

Canada hereby declares WAR on the Yugoslavian Federation, condemns its actions in the strongest terms possible. Canada joins the USA in declared an embargo against the Yugoslavian Federation, and will join NATO countries in rescuing the democratic Greek Nation from the clutches of the Yugoslavian Federation. Canada is removing all but essential diplomatic staff from Yugoslavia, and informing Canadian citizens in Yugoslavia that they should leave immediately. Canada is taking these actions to ensure that the democracy that is the Greek nation does not get annexed by Yugoslavia. These actions by NATO and Canada are about ensuring the long-term survival of democracy in the world.

Signed,
Belinda Stronach,
Prime Minister of the Confederacy of Canada.

OOC - Y'know, I never actually read that part of the update . . . until now.

On this document the Democratic International Treaty Organistation acknowledges that as having passed RESOLUTION VII under the DITO charter, has thus decleared war upon the Yugoslavic Empire.

We the nations pledge that we shall remain in a state of war with the Yugoslavic Empire until such time that the democracy of Greece is secure in its freedom and independence and peaceful democracy is returned to the citizens of Yugoslavia.

Thus on this the 25th day of April 2006, we the DITO nation declare war thus so.

Secy Gen of the Democratic International Treay Organisation

ARABIC CONFEDERATION

YUGOSLAVIAN CRISIS

The Arabic Confederation expresses concern over the rights of Muslim men and women living in Yugoslavian Federation. It is our sinserest hope that the forces that are determined to wage war in Yugoslavia will in no way harm the civilian muslim population of the country. Arabia strongly warns that should there be any reports of violence against the muslims Arabia will take all nevessary measures against the agressors.

Do not worry the muslim population will remain safe,as we will retreat from Greece because of the international pressure mounted on us.From now on we will only defend ourselves from foreign threats.

OOC: Do note that the USA ITTL is much less interventionist the in OTL due to the nastiness of the TYW and the domination of the political scene by the more pacifistic/isolationist politics.

Also, Yugoslavia should be a part of the Pan-Slavic Alliance. See first page.

IC:

From: SFJP
To: Yugoslavia

We are glad that you agreed to withdraw from Greece.

From: SFJP
To: USA, Canada

We politely request that you cancel your declarations.

Russia, Poland and Czechia-Slovakia are members of the Pan-Slavic Organization

Hmm doesnt say Yugoslavia,does it?

To Yugoslavia
From the Secy Gen of DITO

We shall be ensuring that the Yugoslav Army returns to Yugoslavia and shall continue the blockade until this is proven (until the update) We shall continue with our decleration of war if you do not show signs of withdrawing. We futhermore ask for peace talks between the Greek and Yugoslav governments and we suggest a DMZ on your mutual borders to help promote peace and stability.

Finally if all being done, DITO would like to invite the Yugoslavs and the Greeks to join DITO as they are both democratic nations

To: Yugoslavia
From: Greece

We are very pleased that you have decided to withdraw from Greece. We will not pursue you into your country. We would like to declare a cease-fire for the indefinite future, along the entire front.

Greece will open negotiations for peace, but we have some demands to make, for reparations. These will be made clearer as negotiations go on.

Prime Minister Spiridon Kyriakides

OOC: Dang, I sent three PMs of orders to silver full of brilliant strategy. Now I have to send NEW ONES ARGH! silver, please disregard all of the military orders, sending new ones soon.

EDIT: Sheep, noticed the Anzac Day thing. That's for Gallipoli, right?

Dasch, I suggest you keep those military order in case Cleric doesnt withdraw or does something silly.

I still have them on the account, and can resend them. If Cleric does...I have a plan. Thanks for spelling my name right!
