SKNES II: The Bonaparte Legacy

To: France
From: German Empire

I am afraid that the encounters on the street between the members of the KPD and the NSDAP and their allies are but a demonstration of the inability of both Communists and Fascists to understand democracy and diplomacy, and prefer to act with brutality against anyone that disagrees with them.

Also, please, ask your Austrian ally to stop making unreasonable demands., and to stand with the agreement they made last year.

To: Bohemia-Moravia
From: German Empire

We stand with you, our friends. Also, we apologize for any trouble that may have been caused by our attempts to make sure that the people of the Sudetenland would not fall under the control of a tyranny.

To: Austria
From: German Empire

Please, abide with the agreement you accepted and signed last year. Your most recent proposal is not acceptable. Please, stop making unreasonable demands. The suggestion made last year was perfectly acceptable. The only reason you would demand something like that would be because you would be afraid of losing.

We support your plight against the Socialist rebels in the north, although we doubt we'll be able to do much beyond some economical support.

To: Socialist rebels in Northern Mexico, Yucatan
From: German Empire

We suggest that, instead of rebelling against the central government and destroy everything in an useless civil war, that you collaborate with the government to improve all of Mexico, as you claim you want to do.

To: Parliament of South Africa
From: German Empire

We shall aid you in your fight for survival.

To: Rebels in South Africa
From: German Empire

Instead of violently fighting against the government, why don't you collaborate, why don't you help, why don't you negotiate? The illusion that is your "independence" cannot be worth the destruction of the nation you claim to love.

EDIT: Better informed about the situation, we still would ask you to seek a non-violent way to get your point through.

To: Spain
From: German Empire

We are glad to see that you have joined the democratic, free nations of the world! We hope to be able to aid you in your first steps in this world, where tyranny stalks at every turn, intent on destroying everything that is good in order to replace it with their own ugliness.

OOC: I didn't agree to it and Hitler didn't sign anything. You guys made this proposal without him agreeing, so stop lying. If you actually look back, I profusely denied it and outright said no. So, I will pretend that message to France, and the message to Austria in the above post never happened. Unless of course you want diplomatic consequences for lying to the world.

OOC: I have changed the messages. Now, I'm just asking you to stop making stupid demands.

On the contrary, I am not making unreasonable demands. All I am asking is that all the German-majority areas in Bohemia-Moravia be included in one plebiscite for their regions together. I am not afraid of losing. I represent more of the Germans in Bohemia-Moravia then your nation does. I am also not the one that created the map of my most recent proposal. The High German people of Bohemia-Moravia themselves created it.

He is altering the terms.

Pray that he does not alter them further.

Spaceman98: Sure, China is yours. You can continue with the existing government. I still have Azale's turn 1 orders actually, I can send them to you if you want to get a better idea of what's going on.

Lord of Elves: Sure thing.

Birdjaguar: The difference is that if you're doing it as a project, you're conducting a coordinated, large-scale effort, whereas if you just say "X EP into infrastructure," you're just doing random improvements or extensions to infrastructure.

Apologies, our telegraph operator suffered a fatal heart attack while typing out that message. We believe that what she meant to say was that Mexico needs all the help it can get, especially as the Yankee rabble are helping the rebels illegally occupying the north.

Excellent, we thank you for you support, although we are not sure how exactly you can help us.

To: Germany

We would like to, unfortunately the Empress and her corrupt government are incapable of governing the country properly and we think we'd be far better off on our own.

Neither the Zulus nor the Swazis wish to be associated with the European government in Cape Town.

To: Germany
From: Poland

There are two great issues facing Poland today: firstly, a large portion of the Polish people still live under the German yoke. Secondly, Poland lacks an ocean port, choking the nation economically, which is even more regrettable considering that fine ports, such as Gdansk, lie within traditionally Polish lands.

We would like to resolve these issues, and would reach for our pens before even considering drawing our swords. The Free Polish government would therefore like to propose to Berlin that, in its much-vaunted democratic tradition, the German government hold referenda in Pomerania and Warmia to determine whether citizens there would rather be part of Germany or Poland. If these referenda should result in a German victory, we would still like to negotiate for a special economic deal which would allow for Polish use of the ports of Elblag and Gdansk.

Also, regardless of the outcome of these referenda, there will still be countless Poles longing to live freely among their countrymen, in a state ruled by their own traditions and values. Therefore, the Government of Free Poland implores Berlin to allow Poles living in Germany passage to move to Free Poland, so that the Polish nation may become one again, even if we cannot regain all of the lands which we have lost.

The Government of Free Poland has no desire to fight the Germans when we have the Red Menace on our eastern doorstep. For either of us to have hope against the Russian Bear, we must conserve our strength.

I almost forgot!

Ah, my bad then. But yeah I had it in thread :)

here :)

EDIT: I think I should have a Mountain brigade, which isn't listed in the stats. Spain should have provided me with one, if I recall correctly...

I'll adjust your dissent then.
Spain didn't give you any brigades.

OOC: Wait i just realized Bair is no longer Serbia. What happened?

I noticed that.. but when and why? You were doing awesome as Serbia.

I feel like I should make a ruling on the current argument regarding cultural groups in B-M. What exactly am I deciding here?

The lands you speak of, while they may hold people of Polish origin within, are not populated by them, but by Germans, true and pure, who enjoy the freedoms provided to them by the German government and its Emperor, regardless of their origin. We fail to see what would such a referendum bring, but useless consumption of money.

We can, however, agree with the idea of allowing Polish merchants to use the ports of Elbing and Danzig at reduced costs, as long as this trade is not of weapons and other military things, and to allowing Germans of Polish origin to leave for Poland if that is their wish. About the only thing we disagree with is the idea that they would live freely, for they would not enjoy the freedoms a democracy gives them if they chose to exchange them for a fascist government.

If only you chose to cast away the trappings of fascism to accept democracy! Then we would truly consider you brothers in the struggle against tyranny, whichever side it came from, whether it is from the East or the West, from the right or the left. Then, Poles and Germans, along with British, Confederates, Scandinavians and all the other free nations in the world would breathe better at the idea that we would have more friends than before.

Hopefully, your allies in Austria will be able to see you as a role and stop making demands that are wholly unreasonable.

@SouthernKing: I don't know. If you were to choose in the favor of the democracies, it would be great. Though, one thing I am wondering is how come the fascist Sudeten Germans are growing so much when the more successful German nation is not fascist.

OOC: If you are not afraid of losing, then why demanding that the entire region goes or not? I'd say that, if the Sudeten Germans are so much in favor of joining Austria instead of Germany or remaining in Bohemia-Moravia, then the votes in each region would be massively in favor of such a move. No need to put them all in one place.

The Government of Free Poland has no desire to fight the Germans when we have the Red Menace on our eastern doorstep. For either of us to have hope against the Russian Bear, we must conserve our strength.

The Soviet People would be happy to sign a treaty of non-aggression.

Also, ridiculously fantasticly genius job, Belgium, for returning Calais to France and signing an alliance with them, thereby destroying the 'neutrality' that they stated in the beginning for no real benefit at all.

The treaty was unfair, the land was french, and the Germans are attempting to bully Austria. Yes, I believe Belgium made the right choice here for a certainty.

OOC: Excuse me, but the bullying is not being done here by Germany, let me tell you. The bullies are a bit further to the south. It was enough that we agreed to let Austria steal Bohemia-Moravia's territories.
