SKNES II: The Bonaparte Legacy

OOC: Excuse me, but the bullying is not being done here by Germany, let me tell you. The bullies are a bit further to the south. It was enough that we agreed to let Austria steal Bohemia-Moravia's territories.

OOC: And that was done IC, or at least it was intended to be IC. From Belgium's point of view, Germany meddling in affairs between Austria and B-M is bullying.

You stated your neutrality earlier on.

We did. Then we continued to witness the expansion of the LDN and their aggressive moves, and we decided an alliance was needed, and not with the LDN. The violence that goes unchecked in Germany and the LDN's feeble response to communist threats only proves this. Please, respect Belgium's decisions.

There are not enough facepalms in the world.

To: The German Empire
From: Spain

We Thank Germany for their support, however the people of Spain are no stranger to democracy or freedom, and we are in no need of German assistence.

OOC:
EDIT: I think I should have a Mountain brigade, which isn't listed in the stats. Spain should have provided me with one, if I recall correctly...
My bad, I'll send them this turn.

You are a member of the LDN.

Great Britain also celebrates the return of democracy and popular representation in Spain and hopes that now, Spain will use its influence in Portugal to assist that nation in transitioning from its interim emergency presidential dictatorship back to the peaceful democracy it enjoyed prior to the Communist uprising.

Examples of 'aggressive moves', please? :)

Excellent update!

To: Ecuador
From: The Republic of Argentina

We yearn for peace on our continent and we hope you put down your arms and find a way to negotiate and put an end to this bloodshed.

To: The Fascists in Croatia
From: Bela Kun of the People's Republic of Hungary

We are sad to see another state turn to the right wing ideals of Fascism.

Australia would like to Remind GB that we asked to be included in the LDN at the beginning of this year and we have yet to receive and invitation

Yes, I will carry on as Socialist Mexico.

The United Socialist States of America applauds the Mexican workers for throwing off their chains, and pledges to protect them from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

The good will of the USSA is appreciated by the people of Mexico.

OOC: I'm a little busy this week, there probably wont be much RP.

From the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
To the World

We congratulate the people of Mexico and Transvaal-Botswana in throwing off the chains of their oppressors. We will render any and all aid possible to the revolutionary governments so as to safeguard the rights of their people.
Workers of the World Unite!

We appreciate your good will!

To Mexican rabble
From the CSA

You have attacked our troops at El Paso, this alone gives Dixie reason enough to invade and lay waste to Northern Mexico and see every Red supporter at the end of a long pike, but unfortunately the General in charge was ineffective in command and has been fired.
So, enjoy your hollow victory for you will not get away with it a second time.

It was your troops who incited a fight by playing the border, and in any case it was our just Yankee allies who were protecting our lands from your advances, not members of our glorious socialist revolution.

From: Colombia
From: Colombia
To: Socialist Mexico

Throughout the world the people are being oppressed, their voice is not heard over the squabbling of the rich. Colombia is glad to hear the voice of the Mexican people speaking at last. We will send whatever aid necessary to ensure that the voice of the Mexican People will continue to be heard.

We thank you, friends.

To: Socialist rebels in Northern Mexico, Yucatan
From: German Empire

We suggest that, instead of rebelling against the central government and destroy everything in an useless civil war, that you collaborate with the government to improve all of Mexico, as you claim you want to do.

It was our wish to do so, but after decades of oppression it is time for the worker to have his voice heard. Unless the entire government steps down in order to make way for our well-functioning socialist government, we cannot see how, in good conscience, we could comply with any sort of compromise, for any such compromise would inherently restrict the people's rights that would otherwise be guaranteed under our socialist platform. It is not our wish to kill our brothers, but if it is necessary to do so in order to save their children, then we will do so.

EDIT: To USSA
As the new Glorious Mexican Socialist State (GMSS) has no air force, we request that you assist us in our righteous endeavors by patrolling our skies now and then, if possible. Also, please keep an eye on your Dixie brothers, who seem to be more than willing to interfere with our glorious revolution. Thank you mucho.

OOC: If you are not afraid of losing, then why demanding that the entire region goes or not? I'd say that, if the Sudeten Germans are so much in favor of joining Austria instead of Germany or remaining in Bohemia-Moravia, then the votes in each region would be massively in favor of such a move. No need to put them all in one place.

OOC: No. I want all the German majority areas to be put under one vote, to go one way or the other and not get split up between different nations... Also, I agree with arya that Germany interfering is a form of bullying since Bohemia-Moravia is more populous and is also larger than Austria. This move by Germany, I do have to say is fully in character.

Belgium is wondering why Germany and B-M seem so opposed to the German peoples in their country determining their own fate. Are they afraid that it will be revealed they have indeed been abusing their own people, and that those people wish to leave?

But why? That makes no sense for either side. :/
OOC: Well, I'm not going to turn around and abandon the party that held sway over around 50% of the German population at the start.((They have only grown))

Edit OOC: Also, if Germany gets this territory, it would be very problematic for them internally unless they sent the army in and exterminated the population. The reason is, is that most Bohemian Germans support extremist movements due to the depression. It will be a bit problematic for Austria too, but not as problematic. Instead of having 80% to 90% of the population against my government type, I would have basically 20% to 40%. Essentially, Communists plus the random person here and there would be voting to join Germany.

To China
From Japan

Your instigation of dissent in our colonies is a serious matter. We have offered the prosperity that comes with friendly relations and that leads to a bright future. Your actions in Formosa and Hainan to disrupt our benevolent leadership can only been seen as the first steps on a path to war between our two nations. If that is your desire, we will march down that road with you to the detriment of both our nations. Such a path is not one we would choose or encourage others to take, but understand us well, Japan will not stand by and permit China to meddle in our domestic affairs.

So once again, we offer you friendly relations and peaceful endeavors between Japan and China. What say you?

Brazil is surprised that Belgium, a nation whose perpetual neutrality is stipulated by the treaty which guarantees its existence, is nosily pretending to being a great power and interfering in the affairs of other nations.

We advise the free nations of Europe to stay abreast of Belgian duplicity.

Belgium could have sworn all communications were cut with Brazil. We were enjoying the silence.

In any case, Belgium has the right to choose its own foreign policy, thank you very much. We do not lay claim to great power status, however it is an affair that can indirectly effect us. However, it doesn't have anything to do with you; don't you have a south american communist dictator to bully somewhere?

France echoes calls for the Sudeten High Germans to join Austria. Austria has been pushing for their freedom for years. Austria has been at the forefront in the liberation of its people from Slavic tyranny.

Germany is merely an opportunist vulture seeking to steal the fruits of the labour from the High German. Such attempts at splitting the vote and dividing the voices of the Sudeten people is the lowest form of brigandry.

In other news, France and Italy, along with the other members of the Rome-Berlin Axis, would like to formally welcome Croatia to the Rome-Berlin Axis. We hope our cooperation will be fruitful.
