Skyrim - The Elder Scrolls V

Looks like SPERG might be alright:

E: 1.9 Trip report. It doesn't appear to break SPERG very much, at least skill-tree wise. The Legendary reset thing is, however, a bit wonky. Just as a quick test, I reset that tree, got all 9 perk points back that I invested in the tree, and consoled it back to 100 using advskill. The automatic perks filled out properly, although I still had the 9 perk points. So yeah, if you use the Legendary feature with SPERG, you'll be left with an abundance of perk points. Unless seorin can fix this, I don't recommend using the feature.

Well, seems like everything I got works fine with the latest patch, thankfully.

I'm taking so many screenshots of Tropical Skyrim I think they'll quickly outnumber the screenshots I have of normal Skyrim very soon.

That should be normal with any non SKSE mods.

Though I suggest to anyone with SKSE to download the beta and install that since it works with 1.9.

Oh god. I haven't even bought Dawnguard yet. I doubt my save will be very stable when they finally sell the DLC for a reasonable price.

Should have bought the bundle during the sale. Unless you're a member of the inferior console gaming class.

I don't pay for DLC unless it's $5 or less (unless it's just music, weapons, or something, then I won't pay more than a buck). It's not that I'm poor, I'm just cheap and unwilling to pay more than I think something's worth.

Dawnguard + Hearthfire was $15 for a time. Worth it.

And Dragonborn undoubtedly worth it.

MIRAAAAAKKK!!!

Now now, there's no need to berate the peasantry any further than they are. :hatsoff:

I do it to motivate them to improve from their depraved condition. Noblesse oblige you know.

White man's burden! :mwaha:

Same here. Though actually I am sort of poor (not in poverty, but whatever money I do get has to be spent on important things like medical bills, with little left over for fun).

Though I did buy hearthfire in the last steam holiday sale for the lulz. Totally worth it. Bossing kids around is much more satisfying than Dawnguard's lousy quests. (Though I'm waiting until Dragonborn is at least 50% off, I do want that one.)

If Skyrim is anything to go by, I will make an EXCELLENT FATHER:

Well I burnt it with fire. Deleted everything again. Something about the patch or it might have been a mod. All the standing stones everywhere in the world disappeared. I'm out.

I'll come back next month when all this is sorted out, but I'm taking a break from Skyrim.

So, I started a new game on Skyrim at legendary difficulty, it is hard

Link to video.

^That is how hard it is

Any decent combat mod already pretty does this. Except with more locational damage.

Any decent combat mod has you get slaughtered in five seconds by two basic bandits?

I'm thinking about starting a new character, I've narrowed it down to:

Dunmer Spellblade (1H+Spell OH)
Orc Warrior (2H + Heavy)
Redguard (or something else human) Berserker (1Hx2 + Light)

Help me decide!

(I've also played with the idea of playing a healer by having a game based on companions and conjured helpers but that seems a bit dumb).

I've done the game before with a mod that ups the number of companions you can have. I focused my character on non combat skills; blacksmithing, enchanting, alchemy, restoration, alteration, speech and so forth and basically played by outfitting my companions with stuff and letting them do the fighting. Pretty fun in it's own right but for a character like that you need to have a secondary character for when you're in the mood to kill stuff yourself.

Of your 3 options I'd pick the first two. Unless you use a mod to make spells way better a spellblade is pointless as you'll quickly find that your sword way WAY outdamages your magic. If you want a magic fighter I'd suggest concentrating on buff spells and/or summons' that you can cast before engaging in battle and then just use 2H/dual wield/sword & board to do the actual fighting.
