I spotted landships in one of the trailers. Good to see a distinction between ww1 and ww2 technology again.
Pretty sure the 2028 is a mistake. On the civilization webpage it says:note the 2028 there…that may just be a limit on how long they keep it separate as opposed to part of the (Complete pack) or how long steam keeps DLCs open for, etc.
Otherwise, it also wouldn't make sense to call it a Founder's Edition.Expand the strategic horizons of your empire and enjoy more options for your reign with Sid Meier's Civilization® VII Founders Edition! This digital-only edition is only available until February 28, 2025—get it now before it's history.
Considering there are currently only American and European modern era-adjacent leaders and Asia only has ancient era-adjacent leaders, I wouldn't be very surprised. In before Gandhi is in and one of the last leaders with a persona...
Surprisingly few, I think. Not an in-game observation but when this was posted to reddit it revealed that base game civ 7 will have 37 achievements for the achievement hunters out there

I'm surprised as well.Surprisingly few, I think.
Yeah, I was expecting over 55 achievements. At this number, it looks like one achievement per leader/persona, one per victory type, one per difficulty level, and a couple more.I'm surprised as well.
I was pretty sure we'd see one achievement per civ (hopefully not just "reach any golden age with civ x through completing a legacy path) and one per leader. Thus, I expected 60+. But apparently, the approach is different this time.
I hope that this means achievements are more of an achievement, and less of simply playing the game as a completionist (win with any civ) or super random (that turtles one and the America one from civ VI). But I somehow doubt it that we'll see many hard to do achievements that don't rely on randomness.
I hope the one per leader isn‘t „unlock x‘s legendary attribute bonus“Yeah, I was expecting over 55 achievements. At this number, it looks like one achievement per leader/persona, one per victory type, one per difficulty level, and a couple more.
I suspect it's "Win the games as..." x 26 leaders/personasI hope the one per leader isn‘t „unlock x‘s legendary attribute bonus“
Then it probably means the components will be for sale but not as a discount package, and probably with some cosmetics missing(ie those would be limited edition)Pretty sure the 2028 is a mistake. On the civilization webpage it says:

Or it is only the achievements available in the specific build that player has access to.Not an in-game observation but when this was posted to reddit it revealed that base game civ 7 will have 37 achievements for the achievement hunters out there
I honestly doubt that any content of the founders package will be sold separately during the next years. At best, the leaders will be incorporated into the base game at some point - or sold again from 2028 or similar. The idea of the founder‘s edition seems to be: exclusive content here! Then it probably means the components will be for sale but not as a discount package, and probably with some cosmetics missing(ie those would be limited edition)
But there can be "subpackage" : each edition is subdivised as the DLC Collection, the Leader Personas, and the Cosmetic Pack. I understand only the Cosmetic Pack of the Founder Edition may not be available afterwards.I honestly doubt that any content of the founders package will be sold separately during the next years. In general, I doubt that civ 7 content will be sold outside packages. RtR and CotW are listed separately on some stores because they are released in smaller entities, but we have no indication yet that it will be possible to buy individual civs or leaders. Until I see otherwise in a store with a price tag, I believe there will be only packaged content.
Maybe @FXS_Sar would be so kind to clarify how it works, but my impression from reading the texts is that the only way to get the leader personas of the founder‘s content pack is to buy this pack until Feb 28th and there’s no other way to get them afterwards. But there can be "subpackage" : each edition is subdivised as the DLC Collection, the Leader Personas, and the Cosmetic Pack. In age transition you can change the capital and all cities become towns except if you chose a certain economic golden age traitI wonder if you will be able to revert cities back into towns. I may want a settlement to be a city and antiquity and a town in modern. Seems like they talked about some cities becoming towns on age change but were not specific about it.
Seems like a good day to put out the Meiji guide and Himiko FL, since they were originally revealed by Nintendo. Not sure where to put this, but if true Nintendo might drown out Fireaxis, unless VII is in the trailer or Fireaxis announces the port right after:
