With a big promotion tree of commander shown few posts above, it probably would make sense if commander accumulated experience of entire army and his promotions in turn affected entire army.
There is no indication if Dates are luxury or not, apart from maybe "+2 happiness", wonder if resources would be separated into luxury/bonuses like in Civ 6. Interesting what yields on tile show 1 food and 1 production, but in tooltip there is an icon for something else with 1. And +2 food from Dates seems to not apply to the tile. Or maybe it is unimproved? And +2 food and happiness would be added to tile when it would be improved? I guess it is unimproved, below yields of the tile there is another symbol, blue circle and plants, I guess it represents that you can create a plantation on this tile.
That would be beneficial for things like elephants which could be used to build units, or produce ivory.
And I mean beneficial as in gameplay purposes, not real world especially for the elephants.

It appears that there are not luxuries and strategic resources, just resources now. Each one has a bonus that it gives to a city that has it (each city can have up to four resources slotted in, like Civ 6 Great Works). Some examples that were given in the video I watched were Sheep, giving 2 Food and 2 Production or Camels, which had 2 Resource slots themselves, adding a net of +1 slot to the city they are slotted in. SpiffingBrit had some fun with that. I suspect that the old strategic resources' bonus are a production bonus towards units.

Yeah resources are all just “resources” now, but they all confer different kinds of bonuses to the city that receives them. I say receives because you can collect some dates in the capital and send it to a second city to give that city bonus food and happiness.
Also, strategic resources are not needed to build horsemen/swordsmen/etc. You can build them by default, but owning those associated resources makes them stronger.
I'm sad to see that named geographical features evidently won't be in the base game. It was a great little visual feature that gave the world a bit more flair and one of my favourite additions in Gathering Storm.

I don't think they'd have to change. Could just use the same system as Civ6 where whoever sees a river or lake first "gets to" name it, and you yourself can't overwrite the names left by whoever you chose in the Antiquity.
Of course, then you run into the problem of there likely being no more land to name by the time the Modern Age civs get to play.

Well they did say the map expands with each era. That makes me feel like this feature naming system should still be viable. Maybe it's there but they just haven't showed it off. At the least we know continents are still named (not the same thing but still...)
Shipwreck confirmed, looks like a Discoverable - maybe available during Exploration/Modern Ages? Always seems to be in screenshots with Exploration ships...
Curious, what does "gain 1 Support on all you wars" mean? Doesn't seems to mean support unit, so is it some kind of diplomatic action? For example, you can ask other civs to join your war and help you? Interesting.

War support is a diplomatic effect for wars. If you surprise attack a civ without cause, they get more support, which gives you combat adn production penalties. Additionally, a civ gan add support to other civs who are in wars that they aren't involved in.

At first glance this looks much more subtle and potentially, at least, more workable than Civ VI's flat + X Disapproval from Everybody for an action. We'll have to see how it works, and its modifiers, in practice . . .
