Snow Day in NY!

To my great surprise, I'm in the same boat as Hitro. Temps hovering around zero and hardly any snow. This has got to be the weirdest winter ever in Edmonton. Usually by this time it is 20 below celcius and there is at least a foot of snow on the ground that doesn't go away.

Back when I was on the BC coast, we used to get dumps of snow four or more times per year. Anywhere from an inch to three feet. Of course, it melted and turned to slush after a few days...

I miss snow. I wish it would snow here.

No kidding, you guys are maybe 5 degrees colder then us (-1C here right now without WC). But you'd think we would be getting more snow this year, its been just as cold asin the past, but the snow just isnt falling. Its all slush and maybe 3 inches outside the window.

Immortal, you're even more wintry than we are! It's a flat 0 degrees C here right now, and there isn't enough snow to cover the grass! :crazyeye:

My mistake, shows what Canada.com knows doesnt it? it says -1 here, -5 over there.

I got to get out of this place...

Well, on the bright side, its supposed to be in the 40s F this week.

How can it be that you guys are so far north, yet just as cold? :crazyeye:

I use www.weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca. I figure if environment canada doesn't know what the weather is, no-one does...

Drove to DC in that storm.

I love a real good blizzard that shuts everything down for a few days. (this is of course assuming that I am well stocked with food, firewood, and don't have to travel.)

Anything less than one metre of snow is a warm winter. ;)
