So who is tomorrow's cutting edge oppressed peoples?

Technically speaking, atheists are actually barred by law from some political positions in some states, IIRC. I don't really think you can say that for any particular religion.

It is in GeorgiaSouth Carolina I know.

Edit:

Article 4 said:
No person shall be eligible to the office of Governor who denies the existence of the Supreme Being; and who on the date of such election has not attained the age of thirty years; and who shall not have been a citizen of the United States and a citizen and resident of this State for five years next preceding the day of election. No person while Governor shall hold any office or other commission (except in the militia) under the authority of this State, or of any other power. (1972 (57) 3171; 1973 (58) 48.)

Blatently against the US constitution in my opinion.

White Anglo-Saxon Protestants (WASPs)

I'm with the white people thing, moreso the countrt loving folks, because for far too long has country music been marginalized and out of the mainstream, which actually is a good thing because we dont want it to get as bad as all that pop and rap stuff...

Country isn't cutting edge, and white people aren't becoming oppressed.

Just because other people are at the table and it isnt as fun and exclusive doesnt mean you're becoming oppressed.

Some exaggerate, yes. But go to university (or at least the ones around here) and you'll see that there is much hatred toward the majority (white, male Christians)
so in Kansas they hate the Christians, eh?

Here at UC Berkeley no one really hates white male Christians. :) But most educated people are uncomfortable with unwavering, closeminded viewpoints. Sometimes one might find white male Christians spearheading such groups.

Women did have some music, particularly in the 90s, but I mostly threw them in there to expand the list to allow for greater range of demographics.

If robots have an underground music scene, please tell me.

Same with athiests ;)

@FugitivSisyphus: It's not even just for the governor:

South Carolina Constitution. ARTICLE XVII. SECTION 4. Supreme Being.
No person who denies the existence of a Supreme Being shall hold any office under this Constitution.

How in the world has this evaded charges of being unconstitutional?

because the person could declare him or herself the supreme being ;)

I find it hilarious that it's not just a small clause or something, but an entire section titled "Supreme Being."

Thank goodness I live in the more progressive state of ... Alabama.

We dont need a cutting edge oppressed people.
Real oppression still exists all around the world

It doesn't really help that quite a lot of people think that in order to be moral, one most be religious. :/
