I booted up my first game of this recently.. and discovered I was a little.. resource shy. I had sheep, corn and incence. I continued to expand, and found.. more sheep.. more corn and more reagents... I was an all coastal empire.. with no sea based resources. Blessing of amathon was on. I opened the world editor.. and the whole world was exactly the same.. there were perhaps 6 different resource types in the whole world, no metals..
Is this how its supposed to be?

you might have played a fantasy realm map option by accident through either random or another case. Map removes 8 resources by random and multiplies the rest.

**"Crazy" - Eliminates eight resources, chosen randomly, and causes four resources to
appear in crazy amounts all over the entire map.**

Also Blessing of Amatheon on some scripts breaks resource placement. It places a lot of sheep etc. like in your case, so there's no rooom for other resources.

Deon,

do you know if this is the case with the Erebus mapscript? I test with both the mapscript and the blessings of amatheon option. I wondered why it seemed that mana nodes would be shy at times, or seemingly so anyway?

blessings of amathaon is bugged and has been for a loooooong time. maybe it should just be hidden.

thanks for the info, i think you were the source of my disabling the Winter option as well.. haahaa....

yeah the winter option is also bugged, like it doesn't work on forested tiles which is plain ugly, plus it doesn't work well with stuff like temples of the hand/snowfall ( for example snow that's supposed to be permanent will disappear after a while ) . Jean Elcard both fixed and improved it, and it would be nice to have. I don't like the default End of Winter, but the Expanded one kicks ass, more so if land units were able to walk on ocean ice :)
