Of course not. Speculation is just a guess of some sort and sometimes people are right; mostly they guess wrong. What is possible is a smaller set than the set of what we can think might happen.
I prefer to make an educated guess than to speculate. Speculation is attempting to make a prediction without full knowledge of the circumstances. For instance attempting predict the stock market a year from now without knowing what will happen between now and then is speculation. Predicting that the Arctic ocean will be ice free sometime in the next ten years is an educated guess. It could only be 99% ice free and your guess would technically be wrong but at least it wasn't just speculation.
